Went to this neighborhood twice. The first time on a wonderful food tour, the second time to do some shopping.

Great area to walk and try some amazing food!! Causal to fine dining, there is something for everyone. Close to the Anthropology Museum you can walk it to the area.

Well, maybe that's a little mean... but compared to other parts of the city I found Polanco beautiful but bland. If you visit Mexico City to practice your Spanish, know that this neighbourhood is a magnet for diplomats and ex-patriates, so you will find more...More

This is the so-called "Beverly Hills" of Mexico City. The area is clean, safe, and hopping with good restaurants, coffee-shops and high end retail. There must be many wealthy people living in the area, as it apparently supports stand alone shops (Ferragamo, Fendi, louis Vuitton,...More

This is a lovely neighborhood to wander through. Every high end store is on the main street and the side streets are filled with expensive co dos that were once private homes. There are many little bistros to get a meal or a drink.

We stayed in JW Marriott which is at the heart of this rich & famous neighborhood called Polanco. We choose this hotel for its closeness with Chapultepec Park which has enough attractions to keep you busy for couple of days. Polanco is Mexico City's social...More

Polanco is a very nice upscale district. I stayed at a hotel in this area and would do that again. There are lots of restaurants and shopping malls. It's clean, walkable and safe. I really enjoyed it!

We enjoyed our stay in Polanco, a safe and walkable area with many fine restaurants and an excellent opportunity to see how the other half lives.

Poshness defines Polanco, this wealthy neighborhood
retains elegance unmatched elsewhere in Distrito
Federal. Brunch in the Polanquito area, then keep up
with the latest fashion trends in luxury boutiques
around every corner. Top it off with beautiful cafés
and restaurants that surround Lincoln Park, a treat to
the senses thanks to the art decó architecture and
high quality gourmet cuisine found here.

Here are some of favorites based on decor and food. La Unica & J by Jose Andres. Really you can't go wrong with the restaurants in polanco since they all have their own unique style and flavor.

Google maps will guide your journey. If walking is possible for you, enjoy the view. With bags, take a Uber. Very cheap and great availability in CDMX.

I would say it is safe, definitely one of the most upscale areas of Mexico City with high end shopping and restaurants. I do not know anything about the dental services there.
