Give yourself at least a couple of hours here. Long lines are the norm here, so booking your tickets online is a great way to avoid spending hours in line. The touchscreen audio guides are expensive, but really add so much to the tour, and you can begin and end wherever you want; you are not tied to a set... More

I loved visiting Casa Azul. I had trouble processing a payment online and could not pre purchase my ticket. Because of this, I decided to come early to buy a ticket in line and arrived around 9:45. I was in the museum a little after it opened with the first wave of people. From the other reviews, I was worried... More

Very cool and different seeing how Frida coped with her injuries, her artwork, and life in general when technology was not so advanced. The courtyard alone is worth the trip.

Great place to visit for the Frida obsessed. Book your entry before you travel on their website to avoid standing in long lines. Beautiful space. A bit crowded. You can pay extra to have camera privileges.

This incredible museum is for all Frida Kahlo fans--it's filled with artifacts and memorabilia of her inspiring life--all in the Blue House where she was born and died. The long lines are the only drawback. Consider going as part of a tour in order to minimize the wait and spend more time enjoying an inspiring tribute to an amazing woman.

The art is great, but the home has also been restored and is a treasure on its own. Original furniture, houseware, books, all line the property giving an incredible perspective on the lives of both Frida & Diego. There's also a great market a few blocks south of the museum worth visiting. I booked tickets in advance online and walked... More

We booked our tickets in advance in order to avoid the long queue. What a great artist Frieda was and what an inspiring house she lived in. While we visited there was a temporary exhibition about her dresses. Amazing to see how she inspired today designers like Jean-Paul Gaulthier

The Frida Museum is a gorgeous place, and much bigger than I excepted. If you are a fan of Frida, or even just enjoyed the pop culture iconography with not much background, you will find this museum engaging, fascinating and dear. The colours are gorgeous, the artefacts an important insight into Mexican culture, a great reflection of a fiercely proud... More

Caza Azul was a wonderful experience if you are a Frida or Diego fan. Hard to think this is where they lived and spent part of their amazing life. Frida's wardrobe on display is unique. The pictures are unique. The artifacts that they used for art or to eat with are cool. Suggestions: buy tickets ahead of time. And I... More

Among the most beautiful and interesting houses I have ever been to! Regardless of being a fan of Frida's art, it's worth to discover every corner of this house and to immerge yourself into her life from everything you can - the dresses, the paintings, her wheelchair, the love for Diego. Great experience! P.s. strongly recommend to get the tickets... More

Staying in Coyoacan

Neighbourhood Profile
Coyoacan
Once you step into Coyoacán (“Land of the Coyotes”) you'll find picturesque parks and cantinas that will transport you back to the colonial era thanks to the brick and stone details of the area. Iconic writers such as Trotsky and great painters like Frida Kahlo seeked refuge and inspiration in this area, and you can see the unique spirit of this neighborhood reflected in its colorful market where nieves, sopes and all kinds of traditional 'antojitos' are a must try. Restaurants and cafés throughout its peaceful paved streets contain traditional but unique murals and decorations, where one can enjoy a mezcal at noon or the best churros with a cup of coffee.
