This crowded church is humongous but well worth the trip. To see the actual mantle of the Virgin is on display.

This place is a very nice approach to Catholicism. If you ever come here, you'll be amazed with the churches, the architecture and with all the people who come every day to pray.

Be prepared to walk a lot if you want to see everything. Very nice sacred place. Only thing lacking are nice bathrooms. You have to pay to use ones that are underground and have no toilet seats...also have to pay for toilet paper.

Our guide attends mass at this church, which gave it a more intimate feel. We enjoyed learning the historical and current day relevance of this special place.

Regarding the best place to stay; I hghly recommend the Fontan Reforma. It is a great place, in the centre with public transport right outside the hotel to and from the Basilica

It is no forbidden, however for respect is the most proper thing to do, no just in the Basilica of Guadalupe in every single, church, but that it is up to every person, it is more for respect overall.
