This park is in a great location; an oasis in the middle of one of the busiest urban districts of Mexico City. Over the last few years I have visited the park several times; unfortunately , for the first time I found the park has no water in the fountains and is for the most part dry and dusty. Trees have perished dry; and the regularly green grass has disappeared, leaving brown patches. The obvious lack of irrigation makes the park look much less inviting and seemingly neglected. All it needs is care and regular watering to come back to its original glory.

Make sure if you to take pictures just visit it by day because after it gets dark it also gets very dangerous with some weird looking individuals lurking around

After reading the reviews I felt I wanted to provide my impressions about this park. Normally I would not visit this kind of park because I prefer more natural areas with hiking trails etc. We are staying at the hotel El Diplomatico for 3 weeks and the park is practically next to the hotel. In a city with dangerous side walks (not the best maintenance and plenty of opportunities to trip or break an ankle if you are not careful) I have to admit that this park has been great for us.

My husband and I have been walking there everyday, sometimes twice a day. Early in the morning and then between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm when there is still some daylight. We have not had any problems at all. Of course we would not go there if it felt unsafe at the times we go. Usually there are plenty of people exercising or walking the dogs and of course lots of couples.

We have observed the cute black squirrels and a variety of birds including two beautiful hawks. Once or twice we have seen police walking around.

After having visited many countries in many continents we know that you have to be extra careful in big cities and especially at night. We avoid late night activities of any kind including bars, restaurants, discos etc. All of which may be fun, but not really worth risking your life in unfamiliar cities. The park is in a relatively safe and clean area with a variety of ok places to eat and shop.

I am comparing this to other areas of Mexico City we have lived in which were not unsafe, but lacked all the activity and shops and restaurants that we find in this part of the city.

Again I recommend you keep alert at all times while in any big city even in the daytime. Otherwise all I can say is that this is a beautiful urban park with very interesting archeological sculptures. I think that the park is relatively free of trash and graffiti and it is big enough for a good brisk walk. Probably best to avoid it at night since it is probably pretty dark.

The clock is really pretty and I have only seen a similar clock in Chile where it is a big tourist attraction.

I would not make this park a destination while in Mexico city, but if you are staying nearby I can recommend a daytime visit.

just that it has places where it seems to go under the street level. Some places are not really safe to go wondering about. i think there are nicer places to visit.

I walked here from EscandĂłn with my two dogs (it's quite a walk, 50minutes). Parque Hundido is full if interesting statues and has a gorgeous clock made of grass and flowers. The park is very well kept and there is a great playpark for children. You can even take a ride around the park in a little train.

The dog park is big and has some great agility training equipment. It is securely fenced in so the dogs can run off lease with no problems.

One of several parks in the south of the city. Main attraction is an clock within a flower setting and I believe the only dog park in this area. Perfect to relax. Just next to buzzing endless Insurgentes street

This is a gorgeous park. The play equipment looks pretty new and is great for all ages (we have four kids ages 3-12). The gardens were well kept and very clean. The kids of course had to use the restroom and they were also very clean. The children could run around the paths and we could see them, allowing them a sense of freedom they do not normally enjoy in the city. They also have exercise stations for adults next to the playground, so you can potentially get a work out in while they play. We were there in the day time and felt very safe the entire time. It is not handicap friendly though. We had a stroller and it was not worth taking because there were quite a number of steps here and there.

Parque Hundido is a wonderful park to enjoy, it's full of trees and greenery which are really well kept up and cared for so you see the squirrels and birds all around. People enjoy the park to run or just walk, great running paths conditioned for this, lots of couples and families, some celebrating birthdays or taking the kids on bikes, skates or enjoying the swings or slides; this is a no-leash dog park so more to enjoy. Families take their seniors, some in wheelchairs, so they too can enjoy the greenery and fresh air. There is a center in the middle where they were reading "the three little pigs" with sound effects, to kids which was fun. Lots of Mayan and Aztec reproductions of smaller monuments abound, there's even a large Olmec head. All in all a wonderful park to be enjoyed, do go!

Shockingly beautiful Urban Park. Music and light show on a Saturday night in November. As beautiful at night as it is during the day. Workout at the public gym or let the kids play in the fantastic kids area.

Mexico City never ceases to amaze with their beautiful public greens spaces.

Great park to take young children. Plenty of places de walk about, watch squirrels and enjoy nature in the city. Nice swings for the younger children and even a train to roam around the park.
