A great collection of pre hispanic artifacts collected by the great artist and displayed in an artistic fashion rather than in the normal way of museums. Good signage with info cards in English available. Some billiant items displayed in well lit colour coordinated cases. Excellent

We were expecting to see artwork by Tomayo but when we arrived it was his own collection of pre-colombian art. Nice but not quite what we were hoping for. Apparently his art is being shown in Mexico City.

You have to understand that the purpose of the collection is to highlight the artistic value of the pieces. With that being said, you won't find lots of detailed information about each piece. Ioved the way the pieces were displayed against brightly colored walls. It...More

You will be amazed by the vast and well preserved collection. Although descriptions are in Spanish, the effort to excavate and piece back together these treasures is truly awesome! A must-see visit.

For anyone that wants an introduction to precolombina art, this is a very good museum. The explanations group pieces with similar characteristics (e.g. Period, location, theme) and let the viewer draw parallels.

This is a small museum of beautifully curated pieces from a private collection of pre Hispanic art that was donated by the artist to his home town. It is really accessible and I found it a hundred times more engaging than the huge Museo Nacional...More

This is a great museum. The artworks are well displayed. There are some English explanations altho the pieces pretty much speak for themselves. Not a huge display so probably only requires an hour to view. But well worth the time
