Took the bus in the hotel Zone to this beach for a morning. We wanted to see what the ocean was like on the north side. Lovely calm turquoise water, a new playground for the kids, clean bathrooms and a cancun sign to take photos. The ferry dock to isla mujeres is here. A fun and low cost excursion!

I enjoyed snorkeling and swimming at this beach along with many local families. This beach is adjacent to two large beach hotels, so there was plenty of people-watching, too.

We spent an afternoon at Playa Langosta. Not too many people, a nice large area of shallow, clear water in which to swim. Wasn't bothered by any salespeople.

On the day we were there it was a little chilly and windy. Not the best day for a beach trip. But it was our last day in Cancun and I wanted to take a trip to this beach. From the parking lot, if you walk down to the beach and turn right, you will see the Casa Maya hotel.... More

Nice beach, perhaps one of the best in Cancun. I liked it because there were not so many tourists - mostly Mexicans. No shaddow of course, but you can rent umbrella. No worry for food and drink - there is a bar....

Playa Langosta is a clean, relaxing, family friendly public swimming beach (no fighting the waves). It is a very calm clear Caribbean blue water to go for the day and enjoy. We were there during the holiday week and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Tip - go to hotel Casa Maya on the right or east side of the beach from... More

Another beach located @ the north - there are birds around and you can enjoy the sea breeze at the same time see the boats around here too.

I absolutely loved this beach! Mostly locals. Hardly any tourists. Uncrowded. No loungers. Palm trees for shade. Beside ferry dock. Warm, calm, shallow water. Great for small children and families. You can get a small table with umbrella. Bar and restaurant short walk away.
