Nice place to shop

If your staying in the area this place is ok for shopping. Prices are ok and they don't bug you like they do in the open air market.

My husband and myself have been going to Cancun for the last 21 years and we loved Plaza Caracol it was the main shopping area in Cancun. We loved Iguana Whana that is not the correct spelling but they did fantastic meals and drinks, the hurricane destroyed this restaurant and bar. The last time we visited Plaza Caracol was 2016... I visited this shopping centre/mall and there were empty stores or stores selling the usual mass produced souvenirs. It's not worth a trip inside unless you want to get harassed into buying tickets to various attractions. The only good thing is The Starbucks; it's air conditioned, clean toilets, helpful staff. Quick tip; if you walk across the road towards the... More

Briefly walk through the mall it was pretty much empty and a lot of the stores vacant with the new la isla mall that opened all of the malls have turned into ghost towns I wouldn't really recommend visiting unless you just want to know call down in the AC as you're walking towards your destination

This mall has some good shops if you want souvenirs or need to pick up some clothes items. It is not full, particularly the 2nd floor where all the shops are shut down and the area is now Art Galleries or a store front place of worship. The Art was interesting. There is a Starbucks anchor on one end which... More

10 years ago the place was OK. Nowadays, all the shops on the second floor are closed and the hole place looks depressing. Don't go there unless you are close to it and want to buy a small Cancún souvenir. If not, you can find the exact same items at the airport. Yes, they might be a little expensive, but... More

It's a lovely mall with many empty shops. The second floor is almost empty of shops. First floor had some souvenir style stores and many inexpensive bathing suit shops and jewelry store...and of course souvenir shops. We went to Chedraui Selecto grocery store (FABULOUS) and thought we would see if there were any nice shops at the plaza Caracol....nice to... More

Basically, Cancun shopping is worse that any used car lot you've ever experienced. The Plaza Caracol is much better. But do not, I repeat NOT wait and do your shopping at the airport. The plaza was clean and the values were good. For example you can get (2) 750ml of Kahlua for here for about 10% more that a single... More

There are much better malls in Cancun, but if you are already walking by you will probably find an inexpensive souvenior. It's better than dealing with the hustlers just around the corner in the open air shops.
