We used the Ultramar to go to Isla many times. It's the fastest way to get to the island and the most comfortable. Sometimes they have live music on the top deck. The Ultramar is the most affordable to take from Puerto Juarez.

We've used Ultramar several times. They try hard to stay on schedule, and usually depart within 10 minutes of the posted time. Be careful about taking the last ferry back to the hotel zone. Our family arrived 15 minutes before departure and the ferry filled up, so they had to take a ferry to a different port in the hotel... More

This was a giant disappointment. We love the Ultramar and would highly recommend. However, advance purchase of these tickets was overpriced, unnecessary, and we were not on the list, so we had to purchase tickets anyway. I have contacted Viator, which is a Trip Advisor company. I have heard nothing back and am getting ready to dispute the credit card... More

We took the first ferry in the morning from El Embarcadero - about 20 people on board. Return trip was more crowded, but far less than the ferries to Puerto Juarex or Play Tortuga. Note - they tell you to get to the Isla port 15 minutes before departure time, but get there at least 30 minutes earlier if you... More

We took the ultramar ferry to Isla Mujeres and had a good experience. The ferry was clean and a video playing gave adequate information. Safety emphasis e been better.

These ferries go to Isla Mujeres (Women's Island) which is just off the coast of Cancun from Cancun harbor, the Hotel Zone, and other locations down the coast. The island itself makes for a pleasant day trip where you can rent golf carts or motorcycles to tour the island - the golf cart is the safer and more relaxing choice... More

My boyfriend and I opted for the ultramar because it was much quicker than the other ferries! (We could see the dock from our suite and see the ferries coming and going). I'm very prone to seasickness (get sick if I stand on a dock too long) so I made sure I got a seat on the top deck so... More

Stay away from this outfit!!! My wife and I bought RT tickets from Playa Tortuga,Cancun to Isla Mujeres (2 x $19). We somehow lost our return trip portion of the ticket while on Isla Mujeres. Despite having various proofs of our purchasing the RT ticket (including photographic evidence) they would not let us return to Playa Tortuga,Cancun without purchasing another... More

We wanted to get to the island to do some activities. It was $19 USD per person, then they do not explain or get mad and are unhelpful when asked questions. We waited forever to board and leave on time like they said they would. When we boarded, we sat there for a half hour before we were told to... More

We chose the Puerto Juarez dock for our day trip.over to Isla Mujeras. We were staying at Westin Langunamar. It was a savings and we heard more interesting to see"old Cancun " Not worth the extra time and confusing van shuttle once we got off at end of bus line. We would go with Tortugas dock next time , closer... More
