If you're wandering around Chichen Itza, you'll see this eventually. It's amazing to think about how a centuries-old civilisation had the technology to build effectively the equivalent of a modern stadium, though unlike the Coliseum in Rome, this was for a peaceful competition.

It is amazing to take in the history of the high stakes games that were played here! I was shocked how small the hoop was! Interesting to walk the grounds on an area that has such a storied past!
