We have 3, small, 6-passenger boats. You will never dive with a large group, unlike boats that carry 8-10 divers. This makes all the difference! f you want to see animals instead of people then ScubaTony is the way to go! We have extremely nice like-new rental gear. Our bcds are with integrated weights, not belts! We assemble and disassemble and wash and store your gear for you. We are 100% full-service. That's right, you ARE on vacation and we treat you like you're on vacation. Certifications start as low as $450 with E-Learning included. We did 5 days of diving, plus one twilight/evening dive - amazing! This was our fourth year diving in Cozumel, but first time with Scubatony and we had such a good time. We were staying at the Iberostar, and they picked us up there - and a short boat ride to the best diving!
The captains, and divemaster's are so accommodating and helpful. They let the group choose the dives, and always find amazing features and creatures on every dive. They load the gear, manage the tanks/BC's - everything. We enjoyed Palancar Beach for the surface intervals, and we always had refreshments and snacks. The night dive was AMAZING! Shout out to Daniel, Miguel and Captain Carlos!!!!

10/10 recommend. The views were great and the staff are extremely nice and accommodating. Daniel, Carmelo, and captain Alex were some of my favorite guides I’ve dived with around the world!

Best dive company to date. service and easabilty made our trip. Dove multiple times with Suba Tony and we won't dive with anyone else. Cervando has been the best divemaster we have ever dove with. Well see you soon!

Best dive operation in Cozumel!! I've had over 200 dives and these guys are top-notch! Small groups, individualized attention, great equipment, and the people are amazing and fun! Miguel and Carmelo were fantastic dive-masters, and Conejo was an excellent boat captain. I wish we could take this operation with us everywhere we dive!

My husband and I did an afternoon Discover Scuba earlier this week. I cannot say enough good things about the communication prior to the experience (email with instructions on how to find them/some VERY brief pre-learning, update on conditions day of as it was a bit windy) as well as the experience itself. Israel reviewed basics/taught us on land and took some of the group down. My husband and I went down with Daniel when it was time to dive. Appreciated the shallow water to practice skills before slowly making our way down the first reef. Daniel was extremely helpful and put a lot of effort into my learning in particular. I can’t imagine gaining the confidence and skills I did without his guidance which led to an amazing second dive. We saw amazing coral and fish, barracuda, eels, eagle ray, and a turtle. Would not hesitate to return and if we decide to get certified would probably come back to Scuba Tony given how wonderful the instruction was.

I've never encountered such a friendly, helpful, fun, professional dive charter in all my travels. They are the best! Love the small 6 pk boat, the above and beyond hands on assistance in every need before you need it! Just wonderful people. A safe, professionally run outfit!

ScubaTony was amazing Dive company I will not dive with any other . The personal service they provide is so much better than other dive companies. Our captain Carlos Gonzales and dive master Carmelo May were very professional and very experienced with diving on the island. Also a lot of fun to be around between dives.
Boat was perfect equipment was great. Hope you all use ScubaTony you won’t be disappointed.

We have gone diving with ScubaTony three times now, and they are amazing! I loved them so much that I brought my kids here to get certified--they're so trustworthy! The diving itself here is glorious, but to me the company makes the difference. I've gone diving around the world, and ScubaTony is my favorite company for sure. Tour was an amazing experience and our instructor Daniel was amazing!! He made the dives feel safe and fun! We went on 2 dives and had the boat to ourselves. They only take a small group typically. Thanks Daniel for showing us a good time!!

Hello do you visit the cenotes dive sites on the mainland? We really want to be based on Cozumel for 10 days but also want a dive over in one of the cenotes.

All of the Cenotes are in the Yucatán Peninsula which is easily accessible via the ferry to Playa Del Carmen. There are various tour operators once you get off the ferry or you can be adventurous and rent a car and drive to them. Very easy to find, right off Rt. 307.

I have two questions:
1. We have two certified divers that will be on the boat and an extra person just along for the boat ride. How much would it be for two divers and one extra passenger?
2. We are in Cozumel on a Celebrity Cruise. If we booked the 1:00 PM excursion would we be back to the ship by 3:30?

Not sure about question #1 but question #2 would be a "Probably Not". Their 2 dive excursions usually go 4 hours or so between getting to the reef, orientation, dive of 45 minutes, 1 hour break in between dives and then second dive. HOWEVER, if you reach out to them directly, they are known for working with cruise ship passengers to get a start time that'll work. I would encourage to email them because they really are the best down here. Hope that helps...

Hi!
I and my wife are not PADI-certified (and not proficient swimmers), although we have dived before two times. We would like to dive with ScubaToby during our upcoming trip to Mexico. Is the 2 tank dive for certified divers? How different is it versus Discover Scuba dive in terms of seeing marine life?
Which one would you recommend for us given we have already tried diving previously?

We are solely a dive operation. I know TripAdvisor can be confusing as it lists dive operations with snorkeling and fishing charters.
We have no recommendations for a snorkeling tour either. Our last people we referred did not live up to our expectations as a service provider.
If you are interested in trying scuba diving we can do a Discover Scuba for non-certified divers. If not, no worries! Just thought we'd let you know.
