This is my second dive in the carribeans so I am not a pro by any means. I thought the dive was amazing especially to see the drop off going forever deep deep behind you. We saw 2 manta rays which was pretty cool.

The dive was about 70ft. deep and the water temp. was 80f' The visibility was very good, about 70 feet. The reefs were like small mountains that you could swim around or through. Also much sealife'

We did a discover scuba dive here while the others on our boat did the actual wall. But, there's plenty of coral and fish to see here before you go over the wall.
We seen a large crab, plenty of trigger and filefish, angelfish, schools of fish, parrotfish, stingrays, cowfish, starfish, trunk fish, schools of horse eyed jacks are among some of the things we spotted. But most of all...there was a LARGE spotted eagle ray! There's tons of beautiful coral to see as well. We were having some issues with the color in our camera and I believe the settings were off, so the pictures didn't turn out as good as mine normally do and I would not find this out until after I got back home to look at them.
I do have to say that this area had a bad current when we were there and being a discover scuba diver, we did struggle somewhat. It wanted to carry us sideways as we drifted along and we were constantly trying to correct ourselves, which made it hard to enjoy the dive that day. We have done many DSD over the years (at least 3x a year we do one) so not our first time diving and this was one of the hardest dives for us so far.

I have to say that this reef is always a disappointment. There is little in the way of pretty. There is virtually no sea life. There are few sponges. I guess to sum it up there are too many divers.

Clear water with great visibility and abundance of sea life! A great adventure made possible with Aqua Safari located at the Cozumel Palace where we were staying.

All the reefs are fabulous in Cozumel. It's a Marine Protection Site by the Government. All the scuba centers take the issue really seriously,no sun-cream allowed etc. This is probably the best diving area I have ever been to.

Mexico magic. I have been traveling there for over 30 years and Cozumel is still one of my favorite places.

This reef is just off of the coast from our condo. This is one of my favorite dive sites. Very relaxing dive. Just let the current take you. You'll feel like you're flying.

Where exactly is this reef? any reference to the coast or landmarks will help. We'll be going to Cozumel in October and I want to dive the best locations and this seems to be a good one from the reviews I've seen.

Sorry, but I am not sure exactly where it is located. I used to have a great map of the entire reef, but it was ruined in a flood. I do believe these maps are available on-line

Is this at the San Francisco Beach in Cozumel? A taxi driver there recommended San Francisco Beach to spend a couple of hours while arriving on a cruise ship. tia

This was a boat dive - not sure of the exact location but I wasn't at the beach. Sorry.

How would you say this spot is for snorkelers?
Written February 9, 2016
Not sure how much a snorkeler would see once it goes to 50 feet. Snorkelers usually go to Paradise Reef
