We never go to Cozumel and never not visit the Plaza. It is a must on Sundays when they play live music and everyone joins in.

Before we headed back on the ship we allowed the students to go shop downtown. It was very clean, we felt safe and the students enjoyed looking at the market and different shops.

Nice place to just sit and people watch. Some evenings you can just sit and listen to the music coming from Woody's a local bar where expats hang out. Watch the kids play in the water fountain and talk to the locals.

It's shopping center area. Near visitors center. If you are on cruise sign up for guide. They will take you there.

I stayed at one of the resort further away from the plaza but I believe if you are coming in by cruise ship, you come in at the plaza, everything is within walking distance, great area.
