The current tends to run north to south at this one site. Small coral formations. I think there are better second dives like Yucab or even Paradise Reef. A week long trip usually gets you here once if you are staying closer to town.

We've seen eagle rays here, but on a whole it's a boring dive site. It's good for beginnning divers however.

Nice place to visit, take ferry over to Playa de Carmen. Plenty of shopping. Beautiful weather and in October/November the ocean water temperatures are great.

Chankanaab Reef is a great place. We saw a show there back in 2016 all about the Mayan Indians. It done very nicely. We went back in 2017 Looked around and did some snokeling. They also have it so you can swim with the dolphins.

We went to Chankanaab as a 'day trip' and the snorkel equipment was included in the entry fee.
