Chankanaab Reef is a great place. We saw a show there back in 2016 all about the Mayan Indians. It done very nicely. We went back in 2017 Looked around and did some snokeling. They also have it so you can swim with the dolphins.
Okay, this is a great place to brush up on your dive skills. But, when talking about the reef itself, you have to compare it to the surrounding reef systems that are available to dive here in Cozumel. There is no comparison, Palancar & Columbia...More
My girlfriends and house decided to try out the diving at the park and hang by the beach. We wound up at MJ’s dive shop. They were great and we had a great day dive. Saw 2 spotted eels upon entering the water. My only...More

I didn't dive while I was there. But I don't think you need reservations. There is a dive shop located directly on the beach at Chankanaab and I think you can book right there. But I am not positive. Cozumel has some great dive shops for great prices. Try booking with cancun-discounts. com i think it is around $65 for a 2 tank dive. I have booked through them before and they are great. They serve Cancun, Riviera Maya and Cozumel.
