San Miguel near the pier is very busy with visitors from the cruise ships. We ventured out and went to the Mercado Municipal and walked around that area instead it gave us a better idea on how locals live. We felt very safe and found...More

A beautiful quaint sea front town. We have been here 6 times and every time is a real joy especially when you get off the beaten path. Lots of great restaurants and shops. Great place to dive and snorkel.

We've visited San Miguel many times with a cruise as well as flown in to stay for a while. Both experiences have always been memorable. The town is kept very clean, always painting and keeping up appearances for the boardwalk. The people are so nice...More

Enjoy walking around San Miguel, eating in the restaurants, enjoying the view and of course, the culture. Not a "party" scene if that's what you're looking for but a shoppers paradise with lots of restaurants. Of course, the typical Carlos and Charlies type places but...More

I have been to San Miquel (downtown) twice and have thoroughly enjoyed it each time. I highly recommend spending a day in the downtown area just to take in some of the local culture and cuisine. You can find a lot of amazing bargains too.

Part of our Island tour was being driven around San Miguel, and since our guide had lived there all his life, we found out a lot about the city "off the beaten path". If you visit with the cruise ships, I really recommend you either...More

Thanks for responding MichelleSteven - So name of transfer company is Best Day? If yes, how can I arrange? Can you please provide email/webpage, etc. Thanks so very much! Our travel company was charging $75 round trip for one person. Thanks for the airport tip. Much appreciated.
