Our cruise ship arrived for an overnight at 2 p.m., and upon asking for a beach with a bar and wifi, we got hooked into buying sight unseen a taxi ride and paying resort fees to Uvas Resort. The wifi was marginal. The beach was rocky. But just as I was enjoying being in the water, we got notice the... More

We have been to Cozumel multiple times on cruise stops. Upon arrival on the Carnival Glory they announced a last minute tour that included on your own time in San Miguel city center and 2 hours in Playa Uvas. Since we did not have plans we jump n it. Our tour guide, Sylvia, was, amazing! The tour included a two hour... More

We accidentally came here. We came off a cruise ship and were going to go to Chankanaab - not with the ship, just on our own as we have been to Cozumel before and wanted to take our daughter snorkeling. Our taxi driver advised us of three different places that we could try instead of Chankanaab. He explained that it's... More

This is a beach with food, drink, kayaking, snorkeling. If you buy lunch there you get to use the facility at no extra charge, otherwise you pay $15 each and get an included drink. They put sand bags down in one spot so you can get over the rocks by shore for activities. They have kayaks. Snorkel gear includes and... More

Clear Kayak and Beach Snorkel Combo CZB2 - we took this from Royal Caribbean and I almost lost my wife. There were two couples so Jaime should have had no problem. He did not check our level of expertise (novices) and that of the other couple (substantially better); gave us no training or instructions on how to stay together and... More

I visited Playa Uvas as part of a Royal Caribbean cruise excursion. We had a great time kayaking and snorkeling. Our guide, Jaime, was great. He was friendly and knowledgeable. The clear kayaks were fun but not particularly comfortable as the back supports were broken. However, seeing the fish swim beneath us was so cool! The snorkeling was good but... More

Enjoyed glass bottom kayaking and later snorkeling on the beach at this lovely local resort. Tasty local cuisine and of course cervesas. Cocktails available. Friendly, helpful staff. Great location on coast with coral close to shore. Shops on location. 15 minutes from pier. Not able to review accommodations as we are here with the Eurodam-Holland America.

Our guide Luis was outstanding . Very knowledgeable about the area and history and extremely friendly. Both the clear kayak and snorkeling was fantastic. Would consider this again when we go back to Cozumel. Thank you for a great excursion.

You can easily catch a cab ($3 per person) and they will drive you approximately 3 miles to Playa Uvas. The entrance fee is $15 which includes beach chairs, umbrella, snorkel, and kayak. The snorkeling is amazing. You get to see a wide range of animal creatures all around the beach. Beautiful, clear blue water. Loved it!

We were traveling with my mom, sister and 8 year old nephew. We decided to go to the "pay" beach of playa uvas near chakanaab park. The taxi ride from port was short, drivers were friendly, wonderful and cars were very clean. It cost $12 for 4 of us- we gave him $15. The beach cost $15/pp for chair, umbrella,... More
