We drove by this spot every day during the week we were on the island and it was never open. It looks to be abandoned in the entry. Sad to see this piece of history disappear.

Hcienda Mundaca is in very poor condition. The grounds have not been kept up and there really wasn't much to see here. We were hoping for some facts and information about the Hacienda and the Pirate Mundaca, but there were no signs nor information about...More

I had research things to do on the island before going and Hacienda Mundaca sounded interesting. We stopped in on the day we rented golf carts, paid our 2 bucks and in we went. The only thing we really saw were iguanas. Not much left...More

You pay a small $3 admission to stroll the grounds. It needs some upkeep. The garden path is worth the walk.

HM is a run-down 2 storey building of 3 rooms containing some quite interesting but very faded photos of Isla Mujeres in earlier times, but the notes all in Spanish. The 'garden' is overgrown, you have to wade through clouds of mosquitos and to be...More

It is nice to go walk through the grounds for the exercise. It has some interesting structures to look at. It is not very expensive to get in, and hopefully they use that money for improved signage, etc.
