    Day trip to Isla Mujeres
Beautiful. Isla Mujeres is a very small island that takes about 10 minutes to cross via gold cart. If you are looking for something relaxing and unique that is not on a resort property, this little island is quaint and beautiful. Right where you get off the ferry there are guys standing there renting golf carts. Our cart was $60 for the entire day. THis allowed us to poke all over the island throughout the day. We stopped at a cute little area on the sand and water with swings where we could enjoy a cold coconut milk. We then drove down to Punta Sur which the the southern most part of the island and is so beautiful. There’s a turtle sanctuary down that way but it was closed when we were there. We headed north to the Playa Norte beach which was gorgeous, but hot and pretty packed. There are tiki huts to sit under but the beach was really full at that point. The shopping area covers several streets across from the ferry area and is full of quaint shops, and little eateries. Beware that every single store owner will be approaching you as you walk down the street to talk to you and invite you into their shop to see what they have, with a promise that the A/C is free. Lol. They compete with eachother on the street to try to get you into their specific shop over their neighbor. I was ok and comfortable laughings, saying hello and walking on by. My husband was a little more bothered by this. The food on the island was very good, all authentic of course and menu was all in Mexican, but the waiter was very helpful. IMPORTANT NOTE: check every receipt closely as we were scammed in the jewelry store that is directly across the street form the Ferry. I bought a ring there that was $129 AMerican $. He showed me the pesos amount and the American amount first which were both correct, and he spoke perfect English so there was no misunderstanding in the language. I approved it and he took my card. When we got home to the states my husband saw in the account he had closed out my sale for that ring for $1,500 American $ after we left the store. he then looked up reviews on this store and they are all along the same line as our experience. Our fault for not being more careful for sure, just make sure to be careful what you use for payment, and what is actually being charged.

    Nice spot
While touring the island on a golf cart we stopped here and we’re glad we did. Breathtaking views of the water and a secluded walking area around the “island” made this a nice spot. Bathrooms cost 10MEX and do not have a toilet seat but were available.

Lovely walk around and lots of statues/monuments to take pictures with as well as breathtaking views
Absolutely beautiful vantage point with stunning views and plenty of statues and monuments to take pictures by or with. There's also a few markets here with local produce/items to purchase. Definitely worth a visit and a look, if not for the views alone!

    Punta Sur MUST VISIT
Punta Sur is a beautiful location to visit. Although, it has changed over the years, the restoration looks incredible. It cultural with gorgeous and amazing views. Must visit Punta Sur, it's worth one's time, and your support goes toward the upkeep of the park.

    So beautiful
The scenery at Punta Sur is absolutely breathtaking. An absolute must see when at Isla. The only thing to note is that if you are going to take the sidewalk route close to the water, there are some areas that have eroded away. I felt safe but others did not. And yes, you have to pay to use the restrooms and iguanas were all over the place which was neat.

    Gorgeous!
Rented a golf cart for our tour of Isla Mujeres so we could explore and this site was exceptional! So glad we made the trip to this end of the island. So beautiful…they have shops to buy souvenirs and cold beverages - which you need on a hot day! Several photo op locations!

Panorama that is hard to forget
The views were fabulous and the color of the ocean was turquoise. The paths let you explore many levels of the park and also descend to the surf. There are not handrails on all paths so it’s not safe for small children without supervision. You can walk here from some hotels or take a taxi (they come by frequently) for 150 pesos. If you love scenery and ocean views this should not be missed.

Punta Sur- the very East point of Mexico
Most beautiful scenery as well as history. You will need to pay $6 entry per person to walk the pathways/ coastline. There is free area to take pics, but to see the actual tip of the island you gotta pay.

    A Special Place
Punta Sur is beyond words. It’s a place you just have to experience. Rich in history and beauty, this is a must do while visiting Isla Mujeres!! I recommend going first thing in the morning to avoid the heat and crowds. Take your time and enjoy each moment. You will be glad you did.

    Gorgeous view
Gorgeous view! My favourite photo was an iguana on a rock lounging above the rocky waves below. F@&$ the ruins. I’m from a tourist town too and maybe I’ll do it one day, strolled down the path below- maybe if you’re cool and nice enough a local will give you some hints on some “hidden” spots. Amazingly inner sarcastic wit against a lot of really stupid people playing with boobs of statues and being just lame on an island that stands for much much more in terms of women. Now there’s some free entertainment.

A perfect place to see the sunrise while as Isla Mujeres. This is a beautiful place and one not to miss in this area. Wife and I came to watch the sunrise and then walked through the park's sculptures. The views are amazing!

We visited Punta Sur based on a number of FB recommendations and it’s the #2 thing to do on Trip Advisor! I usually capture sunsets, I’m not awake for many sunrises, I kept putting this off until today, I’m glad I got up and saw the sunrise at this beautiful spot. There is a lot of history here and I would pay the $6 per person to talk the path and get a little closer to the cliffs/water. We enjoyed so much we are going back tonight to see the sun go down!

Exceptional views and beautiful seaside scenery. Some local vendors to visit and great photo ops. Bathrooms are 10 pesos to use. However if you pay the small entrance fee (about$6) to the park with the ruins, there is a wonderful easy walking trail to visit some cultural and historical points of interest including a Mayan ruin site. It turns out this is the Eastern most point in Mexico. There is also a separate walking trail at your choice to do which requires some steep stairs and at times there are no railings. We managed just fine though and it was worth the adventure and the beautiful views. Definitely a must stop when touring the island- it took us about 25 minutes by golf cart to arrive. Well worth the time and the entrance fee!

Punta Sur is stunning. I would encourage everyone to take this easy hike to witness the most amazing unspoiled views of this beautiful island. The paths are easily walkable and took about an hour to see it all.

the view it is the best, from where used to be a restaurant I think it was the best view, the color of the water down towards Cancun like from a movie.

Definitely worth the cost of admission. Well kept national park along the south end of isla mujeres. There is a small ruin of a Mayan pyramid. The walking path down to the water and along the coastline was stunning. Take the steps down!

$6 entry fee that is cash only

We spent an interesting 90 minutes or so here. The statues are all good (though the QR code explanations aren't ideal for cheapskate foreigners who have turned off data roaming) and the walkways down and around the cliffs give some excellent views.
Not for the faint-hearted though - there are few guard-rails and the concrete path is broken in a few places. The views make up for the moments of anxiety

If you make it to isla mujeres, you must see punta sur. It’s worth the admission, trust me! There are trails that lead you down and around the point. Breath taking views all around. The trails have steep steps and un-level ground so wear good shoes and bring a camera.
