This was my second time at Putnam Sur, this time with friends that hadn't been to the Isla before. It was so windy I was embarrassed that I took them there. We couldn't walk down the ocean paths, told my friends they'll have to book another holiday just to see it on a nicer day. Went for drinks at the... More

This is a gorgeous and inspiring area. We visited it several times while on the island, each time finding it special.

Rent a golf cart and head to this side of the island. The views are spectacular! Bring a few pesos to fund banks services / staff. Stop at local bars and restaurants. Excellent food and service.

It was seriously windy the day we went here so less enjoyable than it might have been otherwise. Excellent photo opportunities. You can purchase souvenirs, but remember to barter the price or you will be overcharged. Refreshments are available as well from snacks to ice cream to a full meal.

Absolutly gorgeous walk. We paid the few bucks to walk the path down and what stunning views right along the rocky coastline. I could of spent hours here just dreaming of possibilities and admiring the force and beauty of nature. There's a little shopping area to browse. We had a drink in the restaurant, just beware a trip to the... More

My husband and I made our way here one morning to enjoy the spectacular views! Definitely pay the few pesos to get into the sculpture garden area and down to the temple ruins. They are small, but beautiful. Also, paths leading down and around the edge of the island let you see some breathtaking sights! When you get too hot,... More

Punta Sur is the first place in Mx to see the sun every day - the walk ways are nice but if you'd do well to have a walking stick if you're like us and over 60. The views are fantastic and you can oogle at the iguanas - they are really used to people. We had a good meal... More

Punta Sur is the most eastern part of the entire country, meaning it is the first place to see the sunrise each day. There is a restored Mayan ruin and a sculpture garden that yo can walk through - which you definitely should! It was windy, but honestly one of the most beautiful places on the island.
