Isla Mujeres Museum Capitan Dulche. This Museum is dedicated in loving memory of Captain Ernesto Dulche Escalante, founder or the 5th Naval Region (Isla Mujeres). Captain Dulche´s Maritime Museum treasures a big part of Isla Mujeres history, this is documented in a great photo collection of over 150 that have never been seen before. The Museum also contains an excellent collection of anchors, buoys, chains and lanterns, maritime tools and two projection rooms, showing one video of the famous mexican diver Ramon Bravo and the even more famous Jacques Cousteau. It also has the largest collection of model ships and metates in the whole mexican caribbean.

Amazing, hidden little treasure on the island. It is very relaxing and serene. The beach and pool are great. The only admission is food and drink. The staff are very friendly.

We practically had the place to ourselves. You have to buy 100 pesos worth of drinks per person for the lounge chairs, but to have the place to ourselves, it was worth it! The owner had planned to have food back on the menu this...More

Stopped by there last week and they were doing construction and were not serving food. Drinks were set up on a temporary table by the beach, so obviusly not really ready for guests at this time.

It's not quite finished yet, but if you want a cool place to hang out with almost no people around, this is the place to do it. Funky old bar, great beach, lovely chairs, hammocks, the whole deal. No food, though.

If you get something from the bar, either food or drink, there is no charge for the beach or museum. Food was good. We also took a snorkel tour out of there that we highly enjoyed!
