This was my fourth trip to Merida in 20 years, this time with my wife and grandsons. So much to see and do on Merida. For me it’s a hidden treasure and I don’t like giving away my secrets but the city is a safe,...More

Stopped there on arrival to Merida. No comprehensive street map available but Gerardo spoke decent English and provided us with additional events information that we were able to attend. Every morning there is a free tour at 9:30 a.m., that begins in front of the...More

We have used this place several times. They are so friendly and so willing to help you out. Plus give you even more information than what you even asked for. They spoke English very well, which was a bonus. As our Spanish is very limited.

The people are very pleasant and try to be helpful giving you tourism advice. We found they were very knowledgeable about some things, but did give us misinformation about the entertainment being held or not held some evenings. The building offers free bathrooms and houses...More

Our tour guide was what made this free tour so great. He was very passionate about the subjects he spoke of, and the places that he took us to. We learned some of the history of Merida, the Yucatán region, the Maya people, Catholic influence,...More

The cruise lines plan excursions to Celestun and Uxmal so they may also plan trips to Merida which is closer than Celestun to the Progresso port.
