Marux was an excellent tour guide. My family and I learned so much about Mayan history and Chichen Itza. It was definitely unique to have a Marux--an archaeologist, professor, and someone who grew up in the area. We were a group of 4 in a van with about 6 others. Both the driver and Marux were incredibly friendly. I would... More

We completed the full day tour of Chichen Itza and Ek-Balam ruins, and Ik Kil cenote with Diego and Murux as guide and driver. Murux was full of fun facts and Mayan history. He obviously took pride in the culture as well as explaining the ruins in details that would capture your attention. Diego provided an exceptional level of customer... More

I have to say, we had the best day with our tour guide Luis from Mayans' Explorers. They picked us up, on time from our hotel for our 10 hour tour and it was exactly what we had hope for. A private, non crowded experience that taught us so much and was interesting the entire time. I can't say enough... More

I did the Cool Tour with Mayans' Explorers and I had the best time exploring the Yucatan. I lucked out in a way because the other tourists cancelled before the tour and I was the only one left, which means I got a private tour for the price of a shared tour, so I got to know my tour guide... More

I took two tours with Mayan Explorers; they were both exciting and very well organized. I had a taste of Mexico, not only its food but also its culture and its natural beauties. Swimming in the cenotes and walking through the Mayan ruins are two activities that I'd recommend to anyone. They really are a MUST. The guides are quite... More

This was our first time in Mexico and we wanted to add to our wonders of the world collection. None of the available tours really met our requirements, zip lining and cenote diving aren't really us. Based on the excellent reviews we contacted Mayans Explorers and Rod was very helpful and pulled together a bespoke tour that met all of... More

Diego and Ray very knowledgable. We saw a real piece of Mexico rather than the Disneyland type xcaret etc man made theme parks. Went a a jungle walk, tulum Mayan ruins with private guide, shopping local crafts and swam in a cenote and throughout the journey lots of chat about local history and current politics. Pick up at hotel 7am... More

4 of us wanted to tour Tulum and a cenote but didn't want to hassle with large groups or driving ourselves. We were picked up promptly at our condo and proceeded to drive to Tulum. Our guide, Mela, gave us a lot of information and history on the way which was interesting. We arrived before the crowds and were led... More

We took "The Cool Tour", a shared day tour normally but that day we (2 of us) were the only people. First we went snorkelling at Acamal turtle refuge (additional thanks to our wonderful snorkelling guide Angelo) where we saw loads of happy turtles (with strict instructions on how to behave so as not to disturb them - there was... I took my grown children & grandchildren on this tour. There were 10 of us. We left early and beat all the crowds all day! I cannot say enough how great our guide, Murush, was. He MADE the trip by his knowledge and personality. We ranged in age from 5 yrs to 65 yrs and he was excellent with everyone.... More
