I've been golfing Mayakoba over a year. Always in great condition. All year course is in same condition as when PGA plays here in November. Not notably tough tract. Very plush and scenic: mangroves, Caribbean Sea #7,#15, crocodiles, monkeys, etc.. Staff inside and outside are...More

So a course that is a players tick list, scenic, quiet and narrow! It's pretty pricey and only gets away with it due to the OHL otherwise it would be a rip off. We went early teeing off at 7.10, an extra cost but playing...More

Best modern golf course I've played by a distance. Great service and friendly staff (mostly!) who couldn't do enough for you but so it should be at the price! Stand out holes would be 6/7/8/9 on the front and 13-18 on the back. Devilishly difficult...More

I was looking forward to playing El Camaleon, but also a bit nervous given the reputation and quality of the course. What I learned was that this course is fairly wide open so you can trade a little bit of accuracy for pushing it off...More

I've played here a couple of times. The course is always in good shape, the pro shop staff and starters are nice. Could use a little more variety of food at the lounge/restaurant. I understand that it takes a lot of money to run this...More

Course is excellent. Pro shop staff is terrible. Arrogant, unprofessional. Recorded reservation incorrectly and did not even apologize. There was no question that the pro shop made the mistake but would not accept responsibility.

Played El Camaleon Mayakoba as a single and quickly paired up with a twosome - outstanding course / facilities / caddy - world class place!

An amazing course. Incredible views and very nice fairways. Green roll true. Lots of false fronts require razor accuracy. Seems to play about 500 yards longer. Really cool course. Recommend Adan as your caddie.

Can 2 people play alone or do you pair up? How far are you from Grand Velas? Do you have rental clubs and if so what is the cost per set?

It will depend on the amount of play on that particular day. If we are not too busy you can play as a twosome knowing that our pace of play is based on a foursome. Rental clubs are 70USD per person and Grand Velas is just... More
