I would give this a higher rating, if we hadn't found out as we pulled away that they had charged us double the price they were supposed to- this was really unfair so be warned!! You will need a guide- we didnt have one to...More

I booked this trip independently. I had spoken to Jesus at Punta Laguna and arranged this trip (you have to book with them via their facebook page) we arranged a taxi to collect us from our Riviera maya resort (he was also taking us to...More

Our trip to Punta Laguna was the highlight of the week's stay. If you are looking for the standard tourist experience, this isn't for you. But if you want to spend time in a quiet preserve (that many natives have never heard of), this is...More

A great, off-the-beaten-path experience. In truth, a strange mix of activities, but we had a ton of fun. We ventured here because we wanted to see monkey's in their natural habitat (vs the local sanctuaries which I believe are more like zoos). Well, we got...More

It is a beautiful place. You can see the forest, the monkeys, insects, and have a walk with a guide. There is a small store with clothes done by the women of the community

The lagoon was one of the prettiest things I've ever seen. Ziplining across it was a lot of fun. Being rapelled down into the cenote was a little nerve wracking for me since i'm claustrophobic, but once I was down in it, it was very...More

This is a fairly primitive operation in a Mayan village. We hired a guide who was very friendly, informative, and was able to lead us to where we saw many spider monkeys and even two ant eaters. A guide is not necessary, but I highly...More

Our tour stopped here. We each put on a harness (not easy to walk in). We first had a ceremonial blessing, then a walk in the forest. We could hear the calls of many kinds of birds, as well as the sounds of monkeys. The...More

We were there last week. We arrived very easily by car -- no tourist buses there at all. They have different things you can do: Jungle walk with a guide (ceremony with shaman prior), canoeing on the lake, zip line and a... More
