- Jackie MAiea, Hawaii41 contributionsGorgeous cenote with food, drinks and even a little gift shop! This is my fourth visit! Absolutely love this cenote. Really fun vibe with food and drinks available. I appreciate the lifeguards and friendly wait staff. It’s nice when strangers can have fun together, cheering each other to jump off the little cliff or use the zip line into the water. The nice wooden tables and chairs keep with the natural jungle vibe of the place. There are also two swimming pools in the back near the restrooms- one has a water slide that is probably fun for children. Easy to stay in the shade with all the foliage and plenty of parking. The margaritas are the bomb! I’m not sure which mix they use but it’s one of my favorites. There’s now a train that does a safari but we didn’t have time to check it out. Maybe next time! The water is very clear, and there’s a small area you can swim to be actually inside the cave- most is open air. Lots of fish!Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten January 13, 2024
- TreyNashville, Tennessee532 contributionsSlightly less crowded swimming holeOur driver recommended this Cenote as being a little off the tourist path and glad he did (shout out to Edgar) We could have spent all day here. The cenote is beautiful with clear fish filled water and beautiful views of the underwater caves. There are two platforms you can leap from. There is also a zip line you can fall from for 10 pesos. The surrounding area really blends with the jungle and has plenty of seating. Definitely rent a swim mask for 50 pesos or bring your own so you can really see everything. . There is a small restaurant and bar that serves local beer we recommend the Tulum beer. The staff is really helpful and friendly with many speaking English. There is also a safari tour we didn't try. Finally a nice little gift shop with good prices.Visited January 2024Travelled with friendsWritten February 19, 2024
- Runnerny2244Smyrna, Georgia1,095 contributionsAwesome Experience!I loved a few things about this place. It wasn’t busy, not expensive and pretty peaceful. The people that run it were really great. It’s definitely a beautiful place to take a swim and get away from the crowds and heat. Food and drinks were really good. Would come here again.Visited April 2024Travelled with friendsWritten April 21, 2024
- DanNorth Carolina46 contributionsWonderful Little Cenote! This is a cute little Cenote is just a 15-20 minute drive from Tulum (towards Coba). It will be on your left when getting off the highway, right after the Car Wash (Aktun-Chen) Cenote's entrance. You will drive on a gravel road and pass a gate with a ramp on the right. The entrance to the park will be on your left. Turn left and then park on the right side of the entrance since that will provide shade in the hot afternoon. We arrived into the park just before opening (10am). We were the first ones to arrive and had the Cenote to ourselves for the first hour. We paid $300 pesos per person (approximately $16 USD). They accept only pesos and not credit card at the entrance. The Cenote experience was amazing as the water was crystal clear. There are two platforms to jump off from into the water (one is about 4 feet tall, and one is about 10 feet tall) and even a zip line! The zip line costs $10 pesos per usage. A lifeguard will help you get on and blow a whistle when you need to drop into the Cenote. There are also steps you can take to walk down into the water. They provide life vests (will need to give them your ID which they will hold on to) and lockers ($20 pesos). There is only one restaurant which will accept Visa as a form of payment. There are also areas where you can purchase snacks. We used the pool and went down the slide several times. The pool and the slide opens at 11am. We loved our experience at Zacil-Ha Cenote as it was small and not crowded. We definitely plan on returning the next time we are in Mexico.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten August 17, 2024

This was the kind of place that l want to find when I travel. Zacil-Ha is located right down the street from Gran Cenote. We had bought a tour that was to take us to Gran Cenote but when we pulled into the parking lot it was very crowded. I mentioned it to out guide and he agreed and told us that there was one down the street that was smaller but less crowded. We eagerly said yes. Zacil-Ha is small and accessed by two staircases, unless you are ready to jump over the edge and jump down into it about 15 feet down! It was a quiet afternoon with about 15 other people sharing the Cenote with us. These were local people, not tourists who were enjoying being with their children. In the beginning we were the only "gringos" by two other couples showed up.
It was a true Mexican experience. Happy children, Mom's and Dad's enjoying family time. There is a little "Zipline" feature available that allows you to hang onto a handle and then pulls you to the center of the Cenote. The life guard clears the center of the Cenote and whistles, you let go, and drop into the Cenote. Kids were having a great time found this
There is even a small cave inside the Cenote. This was the clearest, cleanest water I've ever swim in. It was very refreshing.
We didn't see the whole place. There is a large children's pool, and I believe they have food.
This was just the most real experience we had and I would definitely return.

A nice picnic/recreation area organized around a crystal clear cenote. Once you get to the cenote you will find two parking lots with plenty of space. The price of admission for foreigners is 200 MXN which will buy you a wristband that you can use all day. Inside there are lots of places for picnicking as well as tables and benches and shady roofed areas. There are several shops selling trinkets to go with a restaurant that sells food and alcohol. The cenote is quite small, about the size of a 25m pool, but deep enough for diving. There is a zipline above that's also meant for dropping into the water from a height. Bathrooms on site are ok, though not exactly up to US standards. It gets crowded with both locals and tourists.

This is a small but fun cenote 10 mins drive from Tulum. The water was cool and clear and there's a platform to jump in from and a zip line for a small fee (10 pesos). The cenote had few tourists and was enjoyed mostly by local families which was nice to see. As well as the water, there's shaded seating nearby and a few bars/restaurants. We had an enjoyable lunch and couple of hours here. Only drawback - it was 200 pesos per person which felt a little expensive relative to what's here. I also think they've stopped you bringing in your own food/drink. But we'd still recommend visiting here for a relaxed afternoon.

We had a friendly welcome upon entry. On the other hand, I didn't know that the safari was included.
I was disappointed to see that it is a very small cenote, with deep water (flotation vest included in the price). The color of the water is beautiful and crystal clear.
You can jump there with a zip line (supplement of 10 pesos).
There are 2 artificial swimming pools. But that doesn't have much appeal for us, because it's the cenote that interests us.
The big problem is the lack of deck chairs: 4 at the swimming pool and 4 around the cenote. And yet, the site was not that busy. Those at the swimming pool were not in good condition.
Toilets: those at the swimming pool were not clean and there was a lack of paper.
Locals pay half the price (150 pesos) and I'm okay with that. Tourists like us pay double (300). When you don't have places to relax on a deck chair, you find the price really too expensive. On the other hand, there are plenty of tables and chairs for eating.
The only really interesting point was the Petirrojo restaurant. We really enjoyed our meal. Reasonable price. Beautiful presentation of the dishes and it was tasty. The garlic shrimp was really good.
We didn't take the little train tour because we didn't know it was included. And when I saw the animal statues at the entrance, I suspected that we weren't going to see real animals.
The price should be reviewed. I read that it was 200 pesos last year and I think it's more reasonable than 300, especially with the state of the facilities. Please invest in lounge chairs or more hammocks for the comfort of your guests.
Unless you know that they have invested in the facilities, I would not recommend, unfortunately.

A unique swimming cenote that was super clean with friendly staff. This spot was included in one of our excursions (along with Tulum). The cenote was very clear and offered a cave-like experience on the side as well. They have a small snack shop and a bar near the lodges. This would be a fun experience to stay at over a hotel in the area and it appeared to be a fairly cheap option in $USD.

The Cenote is small but pretty, crystal clear and icy water! We stayed two nights (too many) just a day, a couple of hours... at 17:30 the Cenote closes then also restaurant service. Those staying overnight will have to get food and drinks!

We stopped at this cenote for relief from the afternoon heat as part of a birdwatching tour with EcoColors. We really liked it here and spent a few hours. The cenote itself is fairly small...it has a great jumping area and some cave areas to swim in. The best thing about it is there are not crowds like the others in the area.
They have a cafe and gift shop, a hammock lounging area, some small pools for kids or more relaxed soaking than the cenote. It seemed like many local people were here.
