We visited the maya ruins first and then went on to see the beach. The sand was nice and there was also as nice breeze. There are quite a few bars along the way. All nice places. The down side in the beach us the...More

I am loving Mexico & the beautiful Mexicanos & Tulum is a great town, but if you’re coming here for the “beautiful turquoise beaches” then you may be disappointed. I am. It’s a 6k ride from town and access is poor. When you finally find...More

Tulum is small and a trip is perfect if you want to see Mayan Ruins on a tight time schedule. The beach gets busy but it’s a lovely view! You basically walk around in a circle, there’s a bus you can get from The entrance...More

Environmental shifts have led to major seaweed issues on Tulum beach, at ALL of the resorts on the beach road. We wouldn’t have gone there had we known. It is seasonal, and the “season” has been longer this past 1-2 year’s than usual. Our guide...More

Tulum has so much to offer and walk along this stunning beach after day of site-seeing is a must. The stars with little ambient light are beautiful and so different from The night sky on the UK!

Unfortunately, during our trip the beach was full of seaweed. No place to swim, and beach was smelly. We went to Coco Tulum beach, but did not stay. Luckily, there are centoes on days like this.

Beautiful beach close to the Tulum ruins. Glorious on a sunny day. The beach extends quite far south of the ruins but we stayed within the cove nearby. Couldn’t go in the water as it was red flagged which was a shame.

The beaches here are the best I have seen. Cenotes were exquisite. If you’re from the west coast watching the sunrise over the ocean is an amazing site to behold. I highly recommend visiting this beautiful slice of heaven.

There is seaweed but in small increments and not all that much of a problem, depending, of course, whether there's a storm in play. The water, for the most part, is blue/green and clear, although the breaking surf will stir... More

Not much in the way of shells. Mostly, it's just white sand seemingly that goes on forever.
