Stunningly beautiful beach and dunes great spot for bird watching. However, it is very disappointing that people still leave their garbage on the beach and drive through the dunes with ATV's and trucks. Also, there are escaped lobster traps scattered all over the beach. Actually embarrassing that people are still this ignorant in NB.

Love this Place!

I hestitate to write a review because this is such a hidden gem of a place for total and complete R & R! We stay at the Cap Lumiere Chalets and spend time walking the beach, exploring the area and feeling the stress melt away.

Great Scenic Vistas

We were looking for new places for a day trip and noticed Cap Lemiere in Trip Advisor.
It's located of NB 11. There are two exits on NB 11. Best way to approach is to get off at the southern exit for Richibucto. From here it is about 20K through very quaint country. Keep following the CAP LUMIERE sign and stay on Rt 505.
When you reach Richibucto Head, there is a 15 K drive along some fantastic coast line.
I've added a few photos from my cell phone, but you really need to see for yourself.

A beautiful place!

Our cottage was beautiful and very clean. The cottage looked right out onto the water and we could see PEI in the distance. The night sky was absolutely breathtaking from the large grassy area. The owner was very nice. We only wished we could stay here a second night.

Love cap Lumiere Wharf and the people. Unique Acadian small village. You can see Prince Edward. Island and the windmills. Nice sandy beach.
