Although it is poor in exhibition it is a good place to go because we can have information about the birth of the city and who was Allende and his importance to Mexican people.

There is a small charge to see this museum, but worth it. There are English translations on most exhibits. Two floors, accessible by stairs. No elevator. As is the usual w/most museums, this is a little dry. History buffs should really enjoy it, however.

A somewhat small, but decent museum that highlights Allende and his time period. If your interested in history, it's worth a visit, but if history is not your thing, you could probably skip this and not miss anything.

I liked that the interpretive signs are in Spanish and English. The history of the town and events that led to the independence of Mexico are explained throughout each room.

The history of San Miguel de Allende is fascinating, particularly the roles of Ignacio Allende and Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla. In addition to the history of the resistance against the Spanish crown, the museum provides examples of the interior of an affluent family's home. It...More
