This little Museum deserves a visit. There are very few things in San Miguel to engage small children but this qualifies. Even w/o kids it is a fun stop, don't miss it. The collection of toys is extensive and nicely presented and the view from their rooftop is nice.

Interesting concept though few items get repetitive. Centrally located so one can catch it in between other activities too. Though uniquely artistic in its collections, museum would be mostly liked by younger age group

Beautiful toys that are often works of folk art. Great gift shop for some handmade toys that are reasonably priced.

This toy museum is sometimes referred to as a children's museum but this beautifully preserved structure and well designed galleries are well worth a visit even by adults without children. The museum has taken care to catalog and a wide variety of Mexican handicrafts by material, region, festival, and trend. We travelled with our sons, 6 and 8 at the... More

I just LOVED this museum - the drawback: you can't play with the toys! This is five floors packed with what seemed like every toy ever produced in Mexico. There was one case of Frida Kahlo dolls; a special exhibit featuring a toy fair and another of a toy circus; there was a wrestling ring showing masks of super hero... More

These toys are folk art representing a high level of craftsmanship, rather than the mass manufacturing representative of North American toys. The collection is large, amusing, interesting, and well worth a visit.

Great collection of mexican toys. It is incredible how well maintain they are. You can see all kind of toys, some of them will remind you of your childhood. You have to buy something at the souvenir store, they an extensive inventory of toys and they are not expensive.

Rich source for Mexican history from a in your face three story toy museum. Don't miss this opportunity to visually take in collective museum quality pieces of this important part of Mexican culture. Not just intended for the little people, but here is something for all. The roof top terrace is a great view of SMD and relaxing sit.

What an amazing museum! I had no ideas toys could be so interesting. Several floors/rooms of examples of primitive (Mexican toys all the way up to contemporary toys. Friendly, helpful staff. Freedom to wander as you'd like. Don't miss the view from the upstairs balcony. In fact, don't miss this museum!
