I really liked this place, i had been there a long time ago and I hadn't liked it. It only had a very basic pool with warm water. They've invested more money on it and it now has lots of pools, lockers, restaurant/bar, showers and a spa. The spa prices are cheaper than in many of the San Miguel de... More

First of all, it is not a hot spring, it's just one public pool that happens to have warm water. All the other pools (2 sad pools) have cold water, which is filthy. The services are terrible and the bathrooms don't even have a mirror. If you are in the area please DO NOT come to this place, It's not... More

The hot waters make you feel so good. It is a very good place to relax. I went during a weekday so there weren't many people which was more enjoyable.

We're wrapping up our 4-month stay in San Miguel de Allende and were on our way to La Gruta which is another hot springs spot supposedly very close to Escondido Place but is supposed to be more 'up scale.' That's really not a word that should be used in Mexico. Since we couldn't find La Gruta and we saw Escondido... More

The grounds are well-kept. The warm hot springs were nice for sore muscles. Overall, an OK day out around San Miguel but I would only suggest it if you need some respite from travel/walking. It's an R&R thing. Disappointments: barely ANY picnic tables or places to sit which is annoying. Definitely bring something to setup a camp. It was getting... More

I am in San Miguel visiting expat friends. They usually go to the other mineral springs but it was closed so we went here. It was absolutely delightful. Nice grounds with little nature walk and crystal clear mineral baths with lots of choices for water temperatures.

Having spent full days at nearby thermal water resorts, we were extremely disappointed with the offerings at Escondido. The water in the pools was just warm, not close to being hot. The grounds were extensive but not landscaped, just areas of dirt and some paths to the pools. We are used to swimming for awhile and then lounging in the... More

We should have read the other reviews before going here because it is now clear that robbery is a common occurrence here. We had our truck broken into and got both our suitcases stolen. There was supposedly a guard on duty, but he seemed to be involved as about 6 cars were broken into in a span of 2 hours.... More
