I did a two-hour hike with Mauricio (and Baron and Adelita :-)) taking me to the outskirts of the town, including the original church "in the middle of nowhere" - not a place one would normally get to visit. One of the most beautiful cities I've ever encountered in the world. Its UNESCO World Heritage rating is incredibly well-deserved. I could not put my camera down for 8 days! One of the most colorful towns I have ever visited.

Not sure what happened, but we made reservations. The guy told us to meet him at the train station the next morning. We double-checked -- train station? Yes. But nobody ever came. And nobody ever called us back. ???

Our party of 7 included three children and four adults with only two of us inexperienced riders. Mauricio was thorough in finding out our skill levels and size to pick the right horses. I visited 3 Señores stable during my two-week stay in San Miguel. It was one of the highlights of my stay if not the highlight. I am 65 years and enjoyed the ride to no end. If you can still get up on a horse, do this. Great people. Great horses.

I first rode out of 3 Señores stables shortly after coming to San Miguel de Allende in September 2009. I was alone and had my first opportunity to see parts of surrounding countryside not normally accessible to such as I. The stock was in tremendous shape and well broken.
