I recently had the wonderful experience of spending an afternoon at the Xotolar Ranch, traversing the rugged and breathtaking terrain on horseback. The ride was expertly guided by Felix Marin who could not have done more to make the afternoon more enjoyable. While giving our small group pointers on horsemanship, Felix also delighted us by sharing natural lore, taking photos... More

My wife and I spent a wonderful day at Rancho Xotolar today with Tomás. He picked us up and when we arrived at the ranch, he showed us around the farm where he grew up and his family still lives. It was very interesting to see the workings of the farm and we were able to see the cheese being... More

My husband and I rode horses and enjoyed lunch with the folks at Rancho Xotolar. The food was outstanding and the people in the kitchen even let me come in to take pictures and hear about what they were serving. We had a lot of fun riding the very well trained horses. The trails on their property are so beautiful.... More

I was here with my husband; I have to say I was a little bit scared when we galloped first time, however Mr Felix made me feel confident I could do it. It's a great experience highly recommend!! The owners are just great persons.

The 2.5 hour is amazing and well worth the price of 80 dollars USA. Great scenery. Be prepared for a long ride and able to sit in the saddle for 2 hours. We went into a canyon. Did some galloping. And had a nice meal upon return. The guides has excellent control over the groups speed the whole time.

We recently traveled with our 10 year old twins to San Miguel de Allende. Without hesitation, they would say that the highlight of the trip was the horseback riding at Rancho Xotolar. It was a wonderful experience the whole way through, from the personal pickup at our hotel, to the terrific guides (one for each rider! and we were the... More

We went at the advice of some friends that had been with other friends several times. Tomas picked us up at the archeological sight we had experienced earlier. He was the nicest guy...warm, charming and an excellent host. When we arrived he showed us around, made us smile and introduced us to his brothers. Others there had just returned from... More

We had an amazing experience at Rancho Xotolar and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique way to experience Mexico. We took an amazing two-and-a-half hour ride through the beautiful canyons outside of San Miguel de Allende, descended steep mountain paths, galloped through rivers, ate cactus berries and tuna fruits, saw eagles, ancient ruins, and got to...
