Not a difficult climb unless it's wet and muddy. The view is spectacular and worth the 1-hour or so hike up.

My girlfriend and I climbed to the Nong Khiaw viewpoint late in the afternoon. The walk took approximately 1hr up and 45m down. The climb is tough and certainly not for the faint-hearted; make sure you carry plenty of water and wear decent trainers. Very...More

Nong khiaw itself is pretty Low key. The far side of the bridge from the bus station is probably the nicer and better equipped. The view point walkie a must. It is a reasonably steep track but nothing major. Even in the early wet we...More

Views are absolutely stunning although there was no colorful sunset. Bring enough water, proper shoes, enough time and a torch (better a head torch instead of your phone). Trust me, on our way back in the dark with rain, we definitely needed two hands to...More

It's best to go in the morning even if it means slogging up the mountain in the dark for part of the climb. It's cooler than in the afternoon and even if it's overcast you'll see the thick mist swirling around the mountains which is...More

If you go in early morning, you will see the sea of clouds and certainly it's worth to go. Amazing place with only about 1.5h trekking. Must do in Nong Khiaw- beautiful town

A trickier than expected hike (took me about 1-1.5 hours up) - the last 2/3 are quite steep! But worth it for the amazing view at the top.

This viewpoint is amazing! The trip should have last 60-90 minutes, but I did it in 46, it's not that hard - everybody can do it!
