great night in the crofty for harry o's 60th.great company, really good food, drink reasonably priced and a live band to finish the night off.
must mention the staff especially ann marie and kylie who were brilliant.
only drawback was the heating in the restraint, they really do have to address this .

Driving home and saw a sign for the Croftmalloch Inn and decided to stop for an early dinner.
So glad we did! Food was delicious, plentiful and well presented. I was undecided on what to choose for a main course, and so glad to have gone with the waiters recommendation. Thanks so much!
We will definitely be back. Thinking of returning next week with family for our grandsons' birthday meal.

I follow this place on Facebook because a few friends have been and the food pictures on their page looked great. I've meant to go here for a while but didn't quite manage until yesterday. I don't know if it was just a bad day to choose because the dining room was being used for a funeral party but as a result we ended up sitting in the bar. As soon as you step in you are overpowered by that old fashioned stale beer and cigarette smoke smell! It was like hitting a wall of it. The decor is awful. Dingy, dark, horrible, old, in desperate desperate need of updating, the seating was old and grubby, the woodwork chipped and scraped and the carpet was euck!! On the wall there was an advert for wine and the cost per glass etc, they had stuck empty bottles of wine to the wall as part of the advert which is quite creative but unfortunately they weren't empty and tiny little puddles of wine lay in the bottom of the bottles going off, one had gone a disgusting shade of brown!! I could go on but you get the picture. The menu was exactly what you would expect, macaroni, steak pie, fish, burgers, haggis and chicken so nothing that would be a revelation but good old pub grub. I ordered the veggie burger and my other half the house burger. The food looked sensational when it arrived, chips were hot and fresh, wee bit salad that was dressed and nice coleslaw. My other half had two big thick meaty burgers on a brioche bun, with salsa, bacon, cheese and jalapeños and he loved it. The veggie burger consisted of 2 bean burgers which were nice enough but were clearly frozen and bought in which was SO disappointing, they could have been sssoooo much better with just a bit more home made effort. One tiny thing which irritates me is that we had to ask for sauce and salt, just give me a rack thing with a selection on it, these days it's so much easier to do and then I can pick what I want instead of just having one option. Everything was served on a wooden board which again is very modern but because we ended up on low seats in the bar complete with a low table, it was awkward to eat properly. The jury is out on this one, food good, could be better, but really really poor decor and appearance in the bar and even with the little glimpse of the dining room it looked just the same so sitting there wouldn't improve things. Owners, get your paintbrush out and do something quick!!!

went here with my partner based on tripadvisor reviews.this was easily our worst meal in a long time.prawn cocktail consisted of a piece of lettuce in a cocktail glass with prawns tasteless!the main was just as bad, turkey with the trimmings!could tell it was frozen food.the roast potatoes well awfull.i know people have to make money but at least make some kind of effort.what made it worse was the next day morrisons had xmas lunch for a fiver which looked a far better deal felt gutted.if you want a frozen food xmas dinner go to Iceland!

The Facebook page advertised curry night so rather than facing cooking popped up for a quick bite with my hubby. 2 beef madras complimented with spicy onions, mango chutney, popadom and small naan bread......delicious and too too hot. Again, another great meal.
The only advice I'd offer is they need to make the outside look more attractive and I am not talking massive amounts of money - weed the flower areas, clean the windows, sweep the car park and a lick of paint of paint on the windows wouldn't go amiss and make the place look more appealing. Hope the management take the advice on board.

Visited this restaurant today, looks a bit run down and could do with a lick of paint but apart from that its fine. Had a lovely welcome from our waitress who showed us to our table and took our order for drinks. She returned quickly with them and we gave our order for food. Our food arrived within a short time, well presented and hot. Everyone remarked on the food which was tasty and plentiful. Would definately return again !

Fantastic choice. Staff are excellent. Portion ginormous. I sometimes struggle to find a decent restaurant that serves gluten free, this restaurant surpassed my expectations. Our son and daughter in law recently moved to the area and trust me I will be back. I believe they have new owners, keep the staff they are an asset to you. 😍😍😍

Been just a couple of times but a new fav for us. The food was delicious and you get a good portion. Great value for money. Do not be put off by the surrounds or decor the food is grand. The burger I had was so good and accompanying sauce was to die for. Hidden gem!

Don't be put off by the exterior and the out of way position of it. Had Lunch today with my business collegue. Went for the 3 course menu £8.95. Fantastic value . The best macaroni n cheese ever. Fantastic proper burger . Homemade Apple crumble and Homemade cheese cake. Service with a smile and good basic tasty homemade fair. Keep up the good work. The food is a hidden delight. The surroundings are dated and in need of modernisation. Will certainly use again when passing. Value to the last.

Hi we are looking to come for lunch en route whilst on a dog walk. Are dogs allowed?!

I shall answer my own question having spoken to the owners on the phone :) Dogs are allowed in, as long as you are seated in the bar area.
