- LV17237 contributionsAverage view of El ArcoWe booked a sunset cruise…unfortunately, the view was not spectacular. It was cloudy so no sunset view...plus there were multiple boats blocking the view. The highlight of the catamaran boat tour - we spotted a whale from up close so that made up for a positive experience. The staff from Cabo Adventures was amazing so was the service, food and drinks.Visited December 2022Written December 22, 2022
- Wanda JMarietta, Georgia164 contributionsLand's EndVisited The Arch on an excursion from cruise ship via catamaran. Beautiful geography for taking scenic picture. Saw lots of other boats and a groups of sea lions lounging on the rocks. Definitely a must see if in CaboVisited December 2022Written January 16, 2023
- U5623BPdenises2 contributionsDelightful 50th wedding anniversary experienceWe booked our catamaran experience while we are staying at Krystal Grand, Los Cabos San Lucas, through the resort’s experience person, Daniel. He arranged for the uber, the excursion and the return uber, he waited until we were picked up from the lobby and explained that we would need a ride back to the resort. We had a fantastic time, delicious food and snorkeling experience. All the staff we have engaged with at the Krystal Grand are friendly, helpful, courteous and attentive to our needs. This is our first visit to this location and it won’t be our last.Visited January 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten February 1, 2023
- Krystal CPittsburgh, Pennsylvania37 contributionsMust see!!I gifted myself a trip to Cabo San Lucas for my 40th birthday and the highlight of my trip was going to the Arch. El Arco is absolutely breathtaking!! It’s a must see and it’s a cheap, quick boat ride!Visited February 2023Travelled with friendsWritten February 17, 2023
- tonyw9 contributionsGreat Experience!! (second visit to Cabo!!)Our experience in Cabo was as great as the first one, El Arco continues to be a breathtaking experience even on a second visit. We stayed on a different resort now (royal decameron) and in order to avoid the awful mess that is the taxis at the airport (on our first visit they made us wait 50 minutes only to get one available for us), we decided to follow the recommendations and book our transportation from the airport to our resort with cape transfers, booking online with them was easy and they literally had all resorts and all type of vehicles to choose from on their website, rates were good too, thanks to them we avoid that headache that we had at cabo airport on our first visit. We spent 2 days in San Jose del Cabo and 5 in Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo is good for relaxation and Cabo San Lucas is great if you want to party, we recommend you to visit both places so you get to know the 2 sides of CaboVisited March 2023Written March 13, 2023
- Michael VAnkeny, Iowa10 contributionsAn iconic landmark and must see!We never leave without a trip to El Arco to see it up close and center. Fun to experience the sea lions, and other marine life along the way. Would recommend a glass bottom boat and snorkel at Pelican Rock!Visited November 2022Written March 24, 2023
- Usia2014Calgary, Canada1,885 contributionsAmazing arch and rocks! We never get tired of seeing El Arco and the rocky shore. On this trip, we sailed into Cabo San Lucas on a cruise ship and really enjoyed seeing this amazing coast line. If you can take a glass bottom boat to get up close to the arches and Lover’s/Divorce Beaches it’s certainly worth it. There are sea lions and sea birds all around and it was fun going for a swim with them around this area too!!Visited March 2023Written April 15, 2023
- LandogLa Center, Washington174 contributionsAn excursion everyone should do/see at least one time. The Arch is a must see adventure everyone visiting Cabo should do once. Getting up close and taking pictures and a short tour by locals is really nice. On our trip we were over run by little flying bugs. They were mostly annoying, but didn’t really do anything else. Our water taxi was very informative and helpful as far as giving information about checking out Lovers Beach and Divorce Beach! Definitely be very careful on the Pacific Ocean side! The waves can be huge and they will drag you right in! The Arch is cool to see and take a few pictures, lots of sea lions barking in the water. Definitely worth the amount we paid to do this excursion.Visited May 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten May 19, 2023
- Corey JCalifornia3 contributionsEasily the BEST of Cabo!!✨ (And some helpful tips! 💁🏻♀️)The famous “Cabo Arch” is easily the best attraction that this small (but very unique) paradise has to offer to travelers, what impressed us the most about el arco is that it feels untouched by humans and civilization, we were amazed that we were able to take pictures of sea lions on their natural habitat that were lying on some of the rocks while we were taken to see el arco upclose, As for some useful tips based on our experience we will recommend you the following: if you want to be taken to el arco as close as posible rent a small boat 🚤 in the Cabo San Lucas marina, there will be plenty of sellers but NEVER accept the first price they offer you! They can go as low as 50% less if you ask them! As for resorts in Cabo San Lucas if you don’t want to spend much you can stay in Corazón Cabo Hotel or Medano hotel, as for places to eat with excellent views and excellent atmosphere we recommend any of the restaurants that are located in medano beach 🏝️ another huge tip is to book your transportation from Cabo airport to your resort online with Cape Transfers, they rate for the shuttle service to any Cabo San Lucas resort is only $30 (or $20 of your resort is in San José) or if you prefer private a beautiful private suburban for your family or group is only $110, it is also worth mentioning that they have a pristine online reputation. As for good places to visit in San José del Cabo (if you plan to go there too) we recommend you the night art walk located in San José del Cabo downtown, also the church ⛪️ in San José del Cabo is a hidden gem 💎Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten July 17, 2023

We had postponed our vcations to Cabo San Lucas for more than 3 years, for some reason we always ended up going to Miami intead of Mexico, not that Miami was not a good place to spend a vacation but Cabo is without a doubt something else, the beauty of the pacific ocean in Mexico's Cabo San Lucas has no comparison, the sand and the blue ocean are simply a sight to behold!
For Cabo San Lucas first travelers we recommend you to stay in a resort in Cabo San Lucas since they are closer to El Arco which is the place you are going to want to visit since it is the main Icon in Cabo. Once you book your resort don't forget to go online and book your transportation to your resort online with Cape Transfers, they will have your private suburban or shuttle ready waiting for you to take you to your resort once you exit the terminal, it's important to remember that if you don't book your transportation with them you will be forced to use a taxi (ubers are illegal), and taxis are expensive and you need to wait for more than 1 hour for one of them to be available, Cape Transfers has a pristine online reputation and it's the company that most travelers use to get to their resort (and their way back to the airport), as for good beaches to spend time with your family or your partner Medano's beach and Playa Las Viudas are a wonderful choice and sort of a hidden gem,
if you made it this far to my review thank you very much and enjoy your vacation in Cabo, we are pretty sure you will love it as much as we did !

Beautiful boat tour out to the arch. Water can be a little rough. Very pretty rock formations. Also saw where the pacific ocean and sea of Cortez meet.

Our boat ride to see the Arch was quite an experience. Our tour guide Karla was very informative. Our boat captain, Jose was excellent. He made us feel safe especially with big waves. We booked our tour through the hotel concierge as part of the timeshare presentation so we got a pretty good discount on our tours.

How much time should we allow to take the taxi from the cruise pier out to view the arch and back? We have some other things we want to do while there as well and have to get back to the ship by 4 o’clock

Hi.
So as you prob know . the cruise ships anchor out side of Cabo and you have to take a tender to the dock... Luck has it. the tender goes into the Marina where you can find EVERYTHING and really not wait. There is no shortage of water taxi and excursions from the marina to El Arco , Now its cool and a great photo op... you will prob see Sea Lions sunning themselves.. Our captain was Marteen ! he was awesome you can ask for him . everyone knows everyone.
I was walking thru marina and asked for a water taxi to take us to El Arco then to Medano Beach for lunch.. Now that being said Everyone RAVES about " the Office" awesome guacamole and Margaritas.. They are known for the sea food lunch.. we went to Mango deck wich is next door and super fun. they have contests on the beach and the staff is awesome.
So at the end of this answer ( i hope i helped) every thing you need is in the marina , where your tender will drop you off, you can get your boat ride to el arco right there . food and drinks are abundant right there.
have fun
this is a long shot.. but does anyone that has taken rides from Leo the Lion water taxi have gotten
his contact number or website.

Yes it is safe. I would recommend a dinner cruise boat. It has indoor and outdoor seating. Be sure to bring a stroller for your little one.

What's the most recent (2019 or 2020) cost per person from cruise port to El Arco? We have 2 people. Do we need to pay for round trip? Or just one way at a time as we get on the boat? Thanks!
Motherofdragons
New Jersey4 contributions
You pay both ways and per person $15-45 each person depending on when you go and who you ask.
Don’t pay one way, you will get stuck. Also realize the boat you come may say they will be back in an hours and may take longer depending on their next trip out. They probably wait for more travelers to board before going out to make the best of their time and gas.
The guy who sells tours closest the stair entrance to the marina fiesta resort from the marina (to the left of the stairs if you are facing away from the water) gave us a good deal-$30 per person and kid’s free, the boat was just okay
