Walked in to take a look and take a break from walking and browsing the shops. It filled up quickly so figured a service must begin soon and decided to stay for a while. So surprised as the service was in English and Spanish. The singing and music was beautiful !

This church has a beautiful facade. The inside is simple and nothing to write ✍ home about. Worth a pic from the outside if you are in the area.

Our family spent Christmas week in San Jose del Cabo. We went to an early Christmas Eve mass at 5PM. It was wonderful!

Love the hours of service- Masses daily in Spanish at 7 am and 7 pm, subject to change; if no priest available for Mass, then Communion service only. Sundays at 7 am, 10 am, 12 pm (English) and 7 pm

We toured the church during the Art Walk and it was nice to see the history of the church and those that were appreciating it.

Nice small church adjacent to the town square. San Jose is a very nice town with pleasant residents. The church is very simple with a plain outside and minimally ornate interior. Worth a look. especially note the mural in the front of the church depicting the death of the founding Jesuit priest, Tamaral. You can see the church, take photos of the exterior and interior in about 10- 25 min.

We have seen many churches and cathedrals throughout our travels.
In it's simplicity this mission style church depicts a past time when this area was much more simple
Surrounded by a large plain plaza with few trees due to polictical debate the church stands on its own. There are the stories of the background displayed in English as well as Spanish

My daughter got married in this beautiful Mission Church. It has such historic charm that it takes your breath away. It was a dream wedding and the church embellished the day. The Padre performing the celebration was most charming and the warm of the day filled the air. Such an amazing way to start the celebration of a couples' life together.

Our family and friends came from Canada for this great day and the planning ahead to have the wedding in this exceptional establishment was more than worth it. The dinner was held at the Westin Hotel on the patio facing the ocean. What a view! What a day! Thank you! This was in 2008 and I still cry of emotions when I look at the pictures.

Very nice place to visit. Mission is actually in use. Lots of tourists and tour guides. At least when we were there.

The twin-towered church overlooks the main square in downtown San Jose del Cabo. Open doors welcome people to go inside. The present church was built in 1932 on the site where the original Mission of San Jose was in the 18th century. According to the church’s website, the present day church was rebuilt after a 1918 hurricane and “preserves the original structure and some of its walls”.

The long narrow interior has the main aisle with a row of pews on either side. In addition to the altar at the front, there are smaller altars with pews near the front, on either side. The stained glass windows are lovely.

The church had a very interesting history. There are plaques on site both inside and outside the church that provide some information. A tile mosaic over the door of the church depicts the death of a Jesuit priest who was tortured and killed by Pericu Indians in 1734.
