Centrally located in the Old Town, this is a surprisingly well maintained hotel spread over 2 locations. The first, and more expensive, is the main building with suites around the pool. The second is in a building across the street with smaller rooms. I stayed in the latter and was not disappointed with the room size. The rooms are well... More

Lovely stay here. Reasonably-priced rooms. Large room with flat screen TV. The bathroom area should have a door.

My sister and I stayed in March. We were scheduled for one night, before departing for La Paz to dive, but it was so peaceful we didn't want to leave. We cut our trip to La Paz two days short so we could return to El Encanto and San Jose del Cabo. We knew the festival of San Jose was... More

On Nov. 28, 2015 I checked into the Encanto, with a friend, after having been offered accommodation of $118,.00 US per night. We were staying at the Tropicana where we were paying $99.00. We explained to the clerk, Naita, that we could not afford more than what she had offered. She took us to a building across the street where... More

The hotel is gorgeous, built like an old traditional colonial hacienda, with a beautiful quiet garden and pool. The rooms are all on one side of the building facing the pool and garden. We chose an upstairs suite that we liked and stayed there for a week. Staff is very helpful and friendly, especially Carolina and Miguel at front desk... More

This a beautiful property but try to stay in the main building. We were in the annex and it's a 3 at best. Small rooms and a pump that goes on all the time. San Jose is about 45 minutes from Cabo by bus but we found a lot of water things to do at San Jose's marina. We did... More

We were 2 couples and we rented the 2 bedroom suite for 2 nights. The rooms were very nice with a large living room and kitchen that was stocked very well. A small balcont off the living room. This was on the second floor with a view overlooking the pool and courtyard area. The check-in service was great. Our luggage... More

The hotel's excellent location, (downtown in the art district) does not compromise it's tranquility. The clean rooms are very quiet; our stay was very restful. The pool area is beautiful and the spa services first-class. Some of the staff were very pleasant and friendly while others were not so (although still courteous). I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are small but quaint, they are located in Centro Historic district, within walking distance to the best restaurants in San Jose del Cabo! On Thursday nights they close the streets for Art Walk, you are right in the middle of all the action

My visit was a success for me. Both treatments received were professional and very impressive with type of treatments. The inn and gardens are well maintained. I would consider staying here and booking multiple treatments. I was impressed. Locals must be impressed also, lots there.
