I had been so looking forward to going riding, I'd waited 5 weeks to go to this ranch, I'd imagined cantering across the fields. Unfortunately, it was not what i had hoped. Put in a group with 12 beginner riders. Even though when I booked...More

We are over in Calgary from the UK visiting family and my wife had booked us a weekender riding experience as a 50th birthday present. It is quite pricey but I can hand on heart say it was worth every penny! Apart from the fact...More

We planned this last-minute and Anchor D was greatly accommodating. The horses were all great and the guides were even better. We had Bonnie and Ceri (Sorry if I spelled it wrong), and both were great with everyone and everything. You could tell they were...More

This was one of the funnest and most awe-inspiring days of my travels. Dewy and the crew are great hosts, and it was a treat to ride the diverse scenery, see the view of the mountains, and be with the horses.

We stayed at the Anchor D in the Grandpas cabin, two girlfriends on a two night retreat. The cabin was lovely, quiet, well equipped albeit with a steep stairway up to the loft. Blissfully quiet at night, and so close to many different places to...More

Loved it! Would like to go back in the summer. Very friendly staff, great horses. 2 hours was long enough if it's your first time.

There are plenty of reviews describing how excellent this property is, but I want to talk about how they dealt with a customer issue. Somehow, when we made our reservation, it was lost. We found out on the drive down that only 1 out of...More

I would definitely call and ask them about this just to find out for sure. When I was there last month, I was at the very end of the group. There were two guides and one stayed with me at the back. There were times I... More
