Loved seeing locals riding bikes and walking in this pristine city forest, though it was dry season, the trees sang with fresh greenness!

I made my way there on purpose for a jog in the morning and was pleased to find it a great park and open space. Bosque means forest in Spanish and that's what it's like in the middle of Morelia.

We enjoyed the park, as did many locals. People were sitting on the benches enjoying life, walking their dogs, jogging, kicking the soccer ball. We focused on finding and photographing some birds. We did see and hear many birds in the trees. There are some workout stations, at least one playground area, a natural history museum...to name but a few feature of Bosque Cuauhtemoc. We understand that the museum of modern art is located near the park, so one could combine the two. The walk from the central square to the Bosque is not too long.

The bosque is a large wooded park that is surrounded by a jogging path and has a BMX bike track, a skate park, a museum of natural history, food vendors, a duck pond, and a few other things. A block west of the duck pond is Frutastika, a great spot for smoothies, sandwiches, or waffles. A good place to toss a Frisbee or just sit in the shade and relax.
