Simply stunning interior, very moving painting/hige, almost murals on the wall. Started in 1706 I believe - there is a sign in the west courtyard in spanish and English with a brief history of the church.

This is an extremely ornate baroque church that overflows with gold and golden leaf ornaments. Is worth the trip a bit out of downtown when visiting Morelia. Try to go during a service, so you can appreciate the intricate ornaments while they are lit.

Second visit to Morelia and it would not have been complete without visiting Guadalupe once again. I like sitting inside.

A perfect walk down an avenue to what looks like a plain church from the outside. Inside is jaw dropping. Worth a visit. Just another amazing building in Morelia which is a fantastic city to spend time in.

Unbelievably beautiful. I took photos but discretely as this is a church with people trying to pray.

Traveled to Morelia for business. As a gourmet vegan health advisor & chef I travel to some of the most remote & Beautiful places on earth. This Historical piece of Art is like something out of a story book. A must see.
