I enjoyed the 1 hour stop we took to enjoy this house and museum. Helps understand more about the life of Morelos and why the city is dedicated to him ("Morelia" comes from "Morelos".) The side patio is also beautiful. The short show of the Morelos robot was interesting although he hardly moved and the room was extremely stuffy.

Morelos was one of the leaders in the Independence war, this house/museum show you his life with letters, maps, paintings, sculptures and signs to explain what and how happened. Most of these are in spanish. It's a beautiful and relaxing house. Morelos appear in the 50 pesos bill.

The historic building is in the corner beside the church of San Agustin, the museum has all kind of antique objects and other stuff, some things are replicas and some are originals, the place is well organized and everithig is marked with signs,I wish I had been guided by a specialist, because it may seem boring just watching.

I hate to have to write this since the house is dedicated to a hero in Morelia's history, but the museum is small and not well lit. The documents are hard to interpret since they are not English friendly and there isn't anyone to help or translate. Not a must-see.

It was an awesome experience knowing a little bit more of our history. One of the best parts it was free. Morelos house is beautiful still with the traditional building. The best was when we saw Morelis Robot talking about his speech that he gave to the country during their times. Awesome experience.

The house where Morelos was born was at the time a hospital of sorts, and his mother went there as it was near her home. It is yet another fabulous old stone construction, interesting enough in itself and filled with information about Morelos, one of Mexico's great leaders and national héroes.

At this museum you get information about Jose Maria Morelos, one of Mexico's Independence Heroes and from whom Morelia takes its name.

My husband loves Mexican history and we're fluent in Spanish, so we really enjoyed our visit to the home where Morelos was born. However, I was thinking that if we didn't read Spanish it would be quite boring. Make sure you go to the garden in the back - beautiful with pretty views of the cathedral steeple.

This house is where Morelos, the hero to the city that renamed itself Morelia (it had been Valladolid before independence). It's a nice old house and certainly was standing in the 1700s when Morelos was born. It does not require much time, especially if your Spanish is limited but we enjoyed the house very much. Its sort of located not... More
