This is one of the best small museums. It showcases the work of Pedro Coronel, a well known Mexican artist. He was friends with and collected a wide array of "modern" artists, from Kandinsky to Picasso, as well as many lesser known Latino artists. Not to be missed in Zacatecas.

The mask museum is generally favoured out of these two brothers spaces, so I was not expecting the art museum to be so incredible. Pedro Coronel hosts an expansive collection of Miro, Picasso, Goya and even some Dali. Because of the minimal traffic in the museum, it is easy to take your time and appreciate each piece as you are... More

I was hoping to see some of the work by Pedro Coronel, and I got to see some great paintings and sculptures. The house where the museum is located is very nice. And the collection is large, large and eclectic. You can find many pieces, some by Mexican artists some by international artists such as Miró or Picasso, a Kandinsky,... More

This museum is right next to one of the orders churches in the town. The collection is housed in an old, colonial building which is worth the price of the ticket just to see, the collection, mostly European modern art, is very good and well worth seeing.

If you only have limited time in Zacatecas, make sure not to miss this museum. The collection is terrific and the building is also great.

The Pedro Coronel houses a surprising collection of art focusing on the early 20th century with pieces by Picasso, Dali, Chagall, and most notably 42 works by Joan Miro. On a recent weekday around noon we practically had the museum to ourselves, a nice escape from the heat and hustle and bustle outside. Nice giftshop, too.

at the Pedro Coronal Museum they did not allow photos to be taken on the second floor , that sucked ! There were paintings by Vasili Kandanski , Joan Miro , Pablo Picasso , as well as many other great painters.

This art collections is absolutely outstanding. Along with the pieces the gallery also has information of different types of art style (Impressionism, optic etc) in both Spanish and English. This seems to be forgotten for the more popular museum in town, but I enjoyed this far more. The artwork is truly exquisite.

I am not a huge fan of Abstract art, but this collection encourages you to understand it. The space and design is breathtaking. The amount of work created by Coronel is terrific. His sculptors and gardens are simple and beautiful. My advice would be to enter the grand Sala from the top and work your way down the three levels.

Located right in downtown Zacatecas, this wonderful museum has art from all over the world. Amazing Asian Buddhas to Indonesian Barongs. Picasso and Miro, Kandinsky and Chagall. Tibetan prayer shawls and Nepalese daggers. Don't miss the Ming Dynasty horses (and a camel). A great surprise to find these treasures in Zacatecas.....and don't miss the section on African artefacts.
