I have visited Puebla's distinctive cathedral several times and always enjoyed the experience. My interest is historical not religious and there is much to be learned of Mexico's past in its hallowed aisles.

This place is absolutely gorgeous! Visit when there's no service and remember to take your hats off! It's a shame we didn't see any information in English but there must be located somewhere. For those speaking Spanish there's an audio available that describes the style...More

If you are on business and have the opportunity to take a side trip in Puebla this Cathedral is a must! It's beautiful inside and out and gives a great feel for the people and the love for the community!

This church rivals if not exceeds the opulence of those in Europe and Spain on the inside. I don't know much about architecture but the outside was not too ornate. Worth walking through and enjoy the paintings.

... the cathedral as well as most chapels and churches are lit at night, making for a nice walking tour, admiring the lights... the basilica, on weekends, displays the story of independence on the cathedral walls...

The second largest cathedral in Mexico with tons of history. Puebla has 77 churches in the downtown, the cathedral you must visit.
