About
Located in a picturesque setting at the mouth of the Gaspereau Valley, we are Nova Scotia's only malt house. We make the most important ingredient of beer using the time honoured method of floor malting. Enjoy our panoramic view as you enjoy our beers which are made from our malts. Live Celtic music every Saturday 3-5pm.

The Malt House has become a regular spot for us whenever we're in the Annapolis or Gaspereau Valleys, hiking/birding/exploring.
The staff are lovely, the beers are great, and the vibe is a delight - very much like a village pub or a tapas bar in a small Spanish town. You find families, lovers, friends, an occasional solitary writer or reader; it's a community gathering spot that also welcomes strangers. You never know who will be there, or who might be playing a bit of music.
An eclectic-menu food truck or a corn & sausage barbecue provide light meals in the spring/summer/fall. Dogs are welcome, and they putter happily checking for leftovers.
It's just a super spot, and we are so glad they've made a go of it. We highly recommend it for anyone visiting the Grand Pré/Wolfville area.

This is is such a great place to visit and try great beers! I live close by but have never visited until today and who would have thought I would have had such a great beer experience.! The beers are all exceptional!! I look forward to another visit real soon and the beers are now o my immediate radar!

A truly unique business worth checking out for sure. You can check out the malting process while enjoying beer made by Horton Ridge, and other great breweries around the province
