Well worth a visit. Nicely maintained and lots of information on display. Lovely grounds. You may think parking is a bit expensive at £3 but actually that's quite cheap for the area. I would give the cream tea a miss as the scones were dry...More

Great way to spend a couple of hours. Very interesting castle. Displays easy to read, with some being tv type. Well worth climbing the steps to see the views from from top of the tower. Games to play in the grounds after visiting the castle....More

I would recommend public transport - roads busy at best of times, never mind with festival traffic. One less thing to worry about too.

They have dropped the price down now to £3 for the day parking. Entrance fee is £6 an adult £4 4-15yr olds
