If I could give this zero stars, I would. The most underwhelming experience of my life to date, and we were here on dark moon. Also a note, this ain’t no ‘lagoon’ (conjuring up images of secret Amazon junglesque imagery) It’s more like a big...More

One of the highlights of our trip! We were able to learn so much about the local preservation efforts and saw a lot of beautiful indigenous wide life! Worth the time to take the tour!

We went to see this Laguna and the bioluminescent plankton in November 2017. It was a warm evening and we took a boat out into the pitch black lake. The view of the stars was incredible. The driver of the boat went in circles to...More

This was one of the top tours that we did this year while visiting Puerto. There are two guides, take the ones with the red shirts - very informative and working hard to replant the red mangroves. Your $8 admission goes to assist them in...More

You can check the lunar calendar to see where your trip falls during the moon cycle. I can not recommend a bioluminescent tour when there is a lot of moonlight, but during the darker 1/2 of the month, others have said it is... More

To hire kayaks, no tour operators are needed, just take a collectivo or taxi to Puesta del Sol lodge/restaurant. Go early, it gets very hot in late morning.
