This museum used to be the house of a well-known family in San Luis and when my mother was a child she remembers going there to spend an afternoon by the poo, and enjoy a light lnch with the owners. In all my years of coming to SLP for business and shopping I must have passed by this place dozens of times without bothering to see what it actually was. It is a bit out of the way down Carranza street, but easily reached by taxi (or bus) and perhaps walking distance from el centro for those that like long... More

I was taking advantage of the Sunday shutdown of streets, wandering well out of the traditional Centro through a neighborhood consisting of mansions recycled into banks, boutiques, restaurants, clubs.... and museum! It was a lovely relaxing space. Not much had been done to reshape the former living space except to fill it with lovely art. Very friendly staff.

I've been to this museum twice, once with my wife and on another occasion during celebration of Mexican indepencence day. it has a surprisingly good collection of art and native artifacts and on the day of our first visit, a displace of Mexican modern art which was just excellent. while limited, it's interesting enough for a two hour visit and...
