We love the marina area of PA and look forward to an annual family trip on a yearly basis. I’m hesitant to share too much as to risk having the place over-run by tourists! Honestly—it’s amazing and we love it

The marina was within walking distance of our hotel (Catalonia). We ventured out for a walk on two afternoons and were really glad we did. You can watch the dolphins being trained, do a bit of souvenir shopping, and grab some yummy food.

We walked from our resort all around the Marina, loved seeing the dolphins playing, all the shops, restaurants, boats etc. Very safe area and everyone was extremely friendly. Can't wait to visit again & spend more time in beautiful Puerto Aventuras.

sorry I do not know about the boats. The dolphins and sea lions are in a part of the marina that is fenced off from the area the boats use. You can watch the shows from the quay side but have to pay if you want to get in... More

You could use a taxi. My guess is it would be about $30each way. We took a collectivo shuttle bus from just outside the resort. These are minibuses that constantly run from Playa del Carmen to Tulum. You basically just flag... More
