It was a hard drive, my google maps had all terrain roads as a default setting so the stress to get there made it less worth it. Take the main highway only! I was expecting more pink sand and it was a very very windy...More

One of the best beaches I've seen surrounded by small bays. It is a very large beach with white and sometime light pink sand .The sea is transparent like caribbean. I suggest to arrive not too late to find a location by the shoreline.

Fantastic but crowdy. If you can visit outside the high season you will encounter a different Elafonissi!

Yes, it is a beautiful light pink. Science says it comes from a type of small shell. Legend says the sand turned pink from the tears of 600 women and children who lost their lives on Easter Sunday in 1824.

We arrived around 11:30 a.m. and all the umbrellas were taken. We could take only sunbeds without umbrellas but the sun was very strong. If you will go with small kids, I advise you to arrive there until 10:00 a.m. But the... More
