One of the best beaches

Although my daughter and I nearly drowned as it was windy on the day we visited and kept going in, I must say that otherwise the beach is very beautiful.

Crystal clear waters with strange mesmerizing colours. The unique red sand of Elafonisi. And the Greek sun shinning above. Pure magic. I recommend going early before the beach gets crowded and get a taste of pure private paradise...

What should I talk about first? The wonderful crystal clear water? The pink slim sand? The fantastic landscape? It is a paradise and you can visit in on earth! I would just suggest to visit it in late August or early September cause it's little crowded during high season!

We've visited Elafonissi Beach some years before and then it was really beautiful, almost like in the South Seas. On our last visit in September 2016 we were disappointed, however, how much this once beautiful beach has changed: In the parking lot were hundreds of cars and about 20 buses, no wonder that elafonissi beach was totally overpopulated - these... Ranked as a top 10 beach in the world, Elafonissi is a hidden gem that every beach lover should visit! Crete offers 3 of the most beautiful beaches in Europe and we think Elafonissi is number one! It is a long drive from Chania ( 90min.) and the road is rough but once you get there it is all forgotten!... More

Having seen many beaches from all over the world (especially living in Florida), I have to admit - this is the best! The color of the water is picture perfect - as if it's a painting. The pink colored beach is just awesome. Getting here is not so easy - a bit treacherous roads - but well worth it.

apparently one of the worlds best beaches. But was overcrowded and loads of deck chairs everywhere. If you like crowds, lots of parked cars and people doing selfies then this is the beach for you. If you prefer something more wild theres much better secret beaches just along the coast

Definitely worth a visit, with its beautiful beach low waters, so you can walk around in the sun with your feet in the water. I would love to go back some time.
