Brian provided an inspiring introduction to the rocks and crystals of the Bay of Fundy. A lifetime of knowledge and unbridled enthusiasm combined with excellent story-telling made for a captivating tour. We enjoyed every minute of his super-knowledgable narrative and had a great time uncovering our own treasures. Highly recommended for all ages.

My 12 year old daughter and I joined the Gemstones in the Rough tour at Blomidon this morning with Brian. This was such a fantastic experience. Brian is an accomplished scientist with a passion for sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience. We had so much fun finding stones and crystals, learning about the geology and history of the area, and just soaking in the beauty of a perfect day by the water. Brian is warm, engaging and approachable, inviting everyone to ask questions and learn. A walk on the beach will never be the same for me! This is a wonderful activity for anyone wanting to better appreciate all that Nova Scotia has to offer. Thanks Brian!

Our family had a tremendous visit at Joggins beach with Brian. His experience and knowledge provided a wonderful context and perspective, especially for those with only a casual interest in geology and the earth's history. His passion and enthusiasm were evident at the outset. He knows the site like no other person. You could go to Joggins and just be entranced by its beauty. You could walk along the shore and look at the cliffs and admire them. But with Brian you get to see and realize the incredible fossil record that's right before your eyes if you only knew how to look. A very personable and engaging gentleman too!

Very glad to have done the tour with Brian, well worth it. Highly recommended.

We had a private tour for our family of five. Brian was pretty generous of his time making sure our girls would enjoy to the max their experience. We learn a lot and found so much minerals. Our girls were so excited! Now we are thinking of visiting other geological sites.

We travelled quite a distance for this experience, and it did not disappoint. Brian did a phenomenal job tailoring the tour of the cliffs to the interests and needs of our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children - 8 and 7). His friendly demeanour made communication easy, and his never ending knowledge about all things fossils, minerals, Joggins cliffs and local history is something we are still in awe of. This experience is worth every penny, and we wouldn’t hesitate to suggest it to anyone interested in a hands-on and truly unique learning opportunity. Brian will wow you with his never ending fountain of knowledge, and the way he seamlessly reads cues and accesses the appropriate information is astonishing. We couldn’t be more pleased with our Fundy Treasure Tour! Our finds will be displayed and cherished for many years to come. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Brian was an incredible tour guide, and so amazing with our family and the others on the tour. The scenery was astounding, and Brian identified every rock, mineral, crystal and fossil we showed him. Extremely knowledgeable, and so much fun. The best part of our trip to Nova Scotia by far. Don't miss out!

This was the best guided tour I have ever been on. Brian is incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic to share his expertise in the geologic history of the region. This already stands out, but what stands out even more is his ability to share in a relatable way for both kids and adults alike. Brian will entertain any question, and answer it in a thoughtful way.

Decades of practice give Brian a sharp eye for spotting tracks and fossils. To the unpracticed eye they don't look like much at first, but Brian has the patience to walk you through how it was formed so that you can visualize the process and understand in just a few minutes.

There is so much to see on the beach that the 4 hour tour flies by and still leaves you wanting to see more. I can't wait to tell my friends and family about this unique opportunity in Nova Scotia.

Master-level only scratches the surface when describing Brian Hebert, our guide during our Fundy Treasures Gifts and Tours - Gemstones in the Rough. In fact, he is in a class all his own. His friendly nature and unique ability to educate his audience means all who have the privilege, walkway with an experience that cannot be rivalled.

Our daughter, aged 5, commented that she now wants to become a scientist (in addition to a mommy and teacher). This doesn't happen without Brian's passion, care, and approach throughout our 4 hours together in search of gems, crystals and minerals. He was approachable, patient, and inspiring.

He answered every question and identified every item found along the way. His personal stories from his 30+ years exploring the Bay of Fundy were captivating.

We were part of a larger group, 12 in total - I was particularly impressed with how Brian could connect with everyone. He helped us train our eyes by understanding critical characteristics in the many different spots we explored. I will never look at rocks again in the same way. I would go so far as to say I am slightly disappointed knowing that the landscape where I live pales in comparison to the constantly changing landscape of Parrsboro.

After reading some reviews about Brian's expertise, the bar was set very high. He surpassed my extremely high expectations and is easily the best guide I've ever had the pleasure of being led by.

Suppose you are looking for a fun, educational, and captivating experience. In that case, this is the experience that you will remember for a lifetime. My family certainly will!

This excursion was one of the most fascinating that I have ever experienced. There's no doubt about Brian's profound knowledge and passion for the kilometers of fossil beds and cliffs at Joggins. What most captured me was his sincere desire to offer us a gift, revealed by our Mother Earth, of a fascinating past made real. As we scoured the beach and cliffs, he combined story and explanation, encouraging us to explore, discover and ask questions. It was mind blowing to see and touch plants and "critters" from 315 million years ago!
