We walked from our hotel to the old port, our choice. Lots of shops, gifts and restaurants. A lot of Mexican paddlers selling all kinds of things. Beautiful views of the water and was just great to sit and enjoy them. We chose not to be there during evening hours as we are not evening party individuals. Many great restaurants... More

We were here in January so no crowds of tourists, easy parking, shop owners were willing to bargain and you could find a spot to sit and watch for dolphins/whales at any of the bars. We ate at 3 different spots and all were great!

This town has many shops filled with things from local artisans and kitschy things for the home, as well as gift things for the typical tourist. I paid on the average one third of their original asking price. Be ready to haggleWhile we were there off season, it was still hopping in the afternoon. Great place to buy fresh shrimp.... More

Parking is easy to access. Restaurant owners are seeking customers but aren't pushy. It makes it nice to be able to visit with the locals then.

There are some fun days to people watch and spend money on generally useless items. You can get some good deals and have the ability to barter. Just look in multiple locations before purchasing for best deal

Not sure exactly where this was but we saw nothing to stop for. Very impoverished town with nothing to spend money on - except the shrimp. Gotta buy some of that!

I wish the the cars didn't park along street, hard to walk with the side walks full of things to buy, hard to get around to next shop.

We drove here and spent the afternoon. Stopped at Flavio's for lunch and paid with MasterCard since we are from the states. My husband and four kids had fun looking through all the shops. You have to bargain with every store owner... the good news is that if one store owner won't give you the price you want, you are... More

I love being able to drive down to the port and find fresh fish everyday. You must bargain or you'll pay full US retail prices. For example large prawns were about $7 a kilo but one day I wasn't paying attention and paid $12 a kilo. Ops. Bad me. It's a good place to bring the kids and get a... More
